  When looking to purchase a new home I was very fortunate to have contacted Deborah Calderon at Clayton Homes Gold River. She was professional, knowledgeable and her honesty was like a breath of fresh air. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a new manufactured home. Thanks so much for your kindness Deborah. You are the best!

  I’ll keep it short since they aren’t worth anyone’s time. Started off good. Deborah showed us homes and got info to us quick. Once we were ready moved forward is when the games began. Gave the $1000 completely refundable for any reason no questions asked to them to get started. Once they found out they had competition, they started playing games and getting attitudes. The numbers didn’t add up from what was promised. They move numbers around to make it look good just like buying a car from a bad salesman. All kinds of hidden costs. And the contractors will nickel and dime you the entire time. Luckily we were able to talk to real customers of yours just down the street and put 2 and 2 together. Our permits ended up being about $30k more than expected, not their fault or anyone else’s. That put us out of where we wanted to be with our numbers. I called Kristen and told her we’ll have to wait and we’d like to get our refund back. She then said with hella attitude “ did you really expect to get a new home for$180k ?” Haha ummm yes I did. That’s what everything was working out to be. But then it was a nightmare trying to get my money back. They kept giving me the run around to get the cancellation paper signed. It’s like a little game with them. Oh I’ll be here Friday all day. Ok I’m on my way, oh sorry, we’re not in the office the rest of the day and won’t be here on Saturday, even tho we’re supposed to be open. We won’t be back until Monday. I have everything on emails and texts to prove it too. So please, don’t try to defend yourself or you will really be put on blast. Clayton homes should be ashamed to have you people working or representing them at the Gold River office. The amount of pressure and attitude from you is embarrassing. Isabel Aand Neal Hocker at Factory Direct Housing are amazing and you should really learn how to do business from them. I could sit here all day and talk bad about Clayton Gold River but, it’s all documented. I just hope people do their research. I would only use Clayton to see display homes and then go somewhere else. Totally dishonest and disrespectful to people spending their hard earned money trying to make a place called home. They will treat you like a blank check until the house is done.

We came to Clayton Homes Sacramento in a tight spot. We had less than two weeks to find a home, get everything in order, and move in. It felt impossible. But from the moment we met Sara, things started to shift. She listened—really listened—to our story, our needs, and our fears. And she didn’t just offer us homes. She offered us compassion, honesty, and unwavering support. From our very first viewing to the moment we held our keys, it was 11 days. Eleven. That’s unheard of—and it only happened because Sara gave it everything she had. She and Kristin moved mountains for us. She stayed in constant communication, never left us guessing, and treated our urgency like it was her own. What stood out the most wasn’t just her knowledge or work ethic—it was her kindness, her transparency, and the genuine care she showed for our family’s well-being. She didn’t see us as a transaction. She saw us as people trying to rebuild something—and she showed up with her whole heart. A truly admirable trait that's pretty hard to find these days. Thanks to Sara and Kristin, our family has a place to call home. She made a miracle happen, and we will never forget it!
