I want to first start with the fact that my home burned down in March of 2023. I lost my fur babies in that fire and to this day I cry when I think of them. I wanted to have a home built to be put in the same spot so I could be near there I buried them. Clayton made it sound easy. And really, everything was until we moved in. From the outside, our home looks beautiful. When you get close, you'll see the gutters were crooked and in some places the wood underneath was showing thru. Called and they had the installer come out and fix them. The shingles in one spot are not correct. Told them, nobody documented it or did anything about it. Master bath toilet leaks. Call them, remind them of previous issues. Toilet is replaced. That's it. Toilet starts leaking again. Call them, let em know. Nothing is done. Over this time the one year has finally lapsed. Call them again and they suggest they've never heard of this problem and to go thru insurance. Now, between the gutters, the shingles, the backwards door in the kitchen, the toilet leaking, the AC unit having to be refilled bc they overfilled it, the three leaks under the sinks thay we did solve by tightening everything, the crack in the shower that they did fix, the cracked window in the kitchen that had to be replaced, the siding not lining up to the windows, my husband goes under the house to check the toilet issue and there is wet insulation, pooled water in the plastic under the house that they did not attach everywhere and a whole concrete block column thay was not even set up. I am so beyond frustrated. We are working to fix it ourselves but for someone who just wanted to be in a sturdy home and mourn her loss quietly, I'm not very happy every time a new issue comes up.
