  Two stars is generous, but i must give credit where it is due. They’re great at selling homes, but that’s where it ends. Take nothing Scott says at face value and use your own contractors — theirs charge high rates for poor quality. After nearly 18 months of delays, broken promises, and wasted money, this experience was nothing but stress and disappointment. I’d encourage anyone considering this company to proceed carefully and do their homework.

  If there was a negative star option thats what would be on my review! We've had our home for almost 2 years now and it started falling apart from day one, we asked for help so many times and they either came out and broke more things or didn't come at all and now that its been so long they won't help us at all. They seem nice to your face but they are shady people!!

  Haven’t bought a home here yet. We did a walkthrough on a home it was really nice until we seen the siding of the home coming undone..the wall trim inside was coming off of the wall. Other then that the staff was really nice and helpful, kind of unfortunate they won’t help find land though..

  They have all these promises in the beginning but after you pay and sign papers they will take MONTHS just to put down your home and after your home is put down it’s another month or two til they finish it. It was originally promise 5 weeks max after down payment but it’s been over 3 months

  Wow, walking in was a joke! We've been running numbers for weeks, ready to look for land/home deal to be done in 6 months, serious inquiry. We went to another manufactured home place up the road and it was awesome. The guy at Clayton we spoke too, Brett, was loud, obnoxious, and basically chastised my daughter because she wasn't pre-approved for a mortgage and hadn't looked for land. I asked about packages, as I've seen them on the website, completely ready to move in with land, yet he said "we don't do land". They offer ZERO help from what I was told to find a piece of land. We already knew what her price range was and the approximate range of cost of septic, sewer, foundation, etc. Did he even ask what we've done.. no! He just lectured us on everything we should do first in a bordering on rude manor the entire time, he had NO intention of actually showing us any of their models. My daughter finely got fed up, and I don't blame her, and told him to stop "mansplaining" stuff, I basically told him he was rude and we walked out, I was ready to walk out WAY before that but wasn't 100% sure how she felt and I stayed out of respect for her. I would NEVER buy a house from Clayton based on that first interaction, EVER. I highly recommend going elsewhere. UPDATE: My daughter couldn't just leave it like that, so she called and talked to Logan who was very nice and apologetic. She went back and he gave her a bunch of info and brochures and assured her she will be treated respectfully in the future. I added a star, if we end up going with Clayton I'll update my review again about the provess.
