  Sydney is amazing!!!! if you’re stopping at Clayton of Lafayette ask for her! she has been the best to work with since day one and has helped us every step of the way. i couldn’t have asked for a better person to purchase my first home with. she is the most helpful and sweetest person ever! we are so grateful for you Sydney!!

  they sold me and my husband a home with promises of us not just being a customer, that they were always just a call away if we needed anything after our home was delivered. well we have had MULTIPLE problems since getting our home and we’ve only had it since march. there are still cracks in the ceilings and walls from them delivering the home, we’re in august and even after calls and messages and emails, they still never came out the fully finish fixing it. the “repairs” they did are horrible and very obvious. called sydney to tell her about the problem, there was nothing she could do but tell us to call their project manager or whoever she said. the project manager was very hard to get to reply to us after messaging her about our problems. the edges of the island all fell off, the entire pantry door fell off only after months of use (thankfully the pantry door is the one thing they did fix). there’s mold in our vent and on the ceiling in the hallway. mold should NOT be forming like this in a brand new home. it’s almost like the builders rushed through building this home. also, we picked out some lantern overhead lights for the island, and when the home was delivered we noticed that they were the wrong lights. when we asked about it, they told us that they no offer those lights. so y’all just picked out a random set of lights and didn’t inform us, the HOMEBUYER?? at this point they’ll probably tell us everything is our responsibility. horrible experience all around. they were so nice in the beginning when getting us to buy a house, now they’re nowhere to be found when it’s falling apart after only 5 months of living in it. that’s pitiful.

  If I could give negative stars, I would. October of 2021, we bought what we thought would be an amazing house for us to live in. During our purchase, they ran our credit 9 times. This diminished our credit significantly. We had no choice at that point but to close. We were so excited because we finally had our forever home. Within 90 days, we started noticing defects. The floor uneven. The floor bubbling up with wind. They told me it’s a floating floor. The floor creaking. Doors were offset. Hardy board wasn’t attached. Light switch flickering. Buckling in the ceiling. An ac vent not even connected with duct work. Double paned windows have condensation in between the glass. The insulation under the house busted open from blowouts during transport. This is just to name a few of the issues. Clayton Homes refused to fix anything. Fire marshal did an inspection and said all they had to do was change a light switch. Meanwhile, our brand new house is falling apart within 90 days of having it. Now, there are issues with laws that are causing us to dissolve the case against them. There is over $100k in repairs that need to be made due to neglect. And they REFUSE to fix them. Their own inspector they sent out said he was appalled at the quality (or lack thereof) they put into this home. Do NOT….I repeat DO NOT buy ANYTHING from Clayton Homes. Our salesman even quit because of the way they treat their customers after the purchase. I have recordings of THEIR OWN INSPECTOR saying everything that’s wrong. And they STILL refuse to fix it!! I have also included the initial list of defects that Clayton Homes refuses to fix below. House repairs: Master bathroom; -Tile around tub has gaps -Shower tile has cracks -Shower has cracks -Mirror boarders are not attached -Gaps in crown moulding -Gap around shower head -Paint poorly done Master bedroom; -Gaps in crown moulding -Trim around attic access poorly attached -Paint poorly done -Beam has gap Hall; -Paint poorly done -Light switch crooked -Gaps in crown moulding -crack in ceiling Living room/kitchen/dining room -Fan is still wobbly -Beam poorly done -Crown moulding has gaps and falling -crooked ac vent -Trim around bricks not attached -Cracks in ceiling -Chips in counter top -Panels under sink not attached -2 cabinet doors fell off -Paint poorly done -Ceiling patchwork around beam poorly done -Floor marriage line popped loose from floor defects Spare bathroom; -Paint poorly done -Gaps in tile around sink -Shower doors aren’t wide enough -Crown moulding has gaps -Mirror boarders are not attached -Wall above door has dip Spare bedroom; -Ceiling has tears -Crown moulding has gaps -Paint poorly done -Trim around closet not straight Son’s room; -Crown moulding falling and has gaps -Paint poorly done -Sheetrock joint in ceiling is bubbled Utility room; -Trim above cabinet came off -Crack in ceiling -Crown moulding has gaps -Floor is cut where they put it around the door Outside; -Hardy board not attached on east and west side of house -Trim on porch not properly attached -Gaps in various places on joints -Window trim not attached in places There is paint on all trim, crown moulding, and base boards. There is mortar on the cabinets by the stove. Windows appear to not be sealed. Also soft spots and humps in floor. ETA: if y’all completed everything then why do I still have the SAME issues that I brought forth to you?? Y’all did NOT complete ANYTHING! I brought these issues to your attention since day 1!! You told me “I never saw that before”. I told yall about everything that was wrong. Fell on deaf ears. I gave yall 4 years….FOUR YEARS to make this right. Telling yall about it since day 1! Anyone reading this…don’t let them fool you into thinking they make it right. They don’t!!

  My entire experience with Clayton was amazing at this location and it’s all because of Sydney! If you are ever, and I mean EVER looking for a home, please make sure you mention Sydney at the DOOR because she is the bomb . Com! If you’re looking for a manufactured home, Sydney Babin got ya like no other 😁
