We moved into our home from Clayton in May of '25. We have been very happy with everything so far. With any type of new construction, there has been some things here and there that need addressed (all cosmetic thus far) and the Clayton Homes of Joplin service team has delivered each time. Seth has taken care of everything that has popped up and Michele has been very helpful in coordinating those efforts. On the purchase side, we worked with Blake and we would not hesitate to give him a call in the future. Top notch professional that you can tell genuinely cares about getting you in a home that will make you happy for years to come. We are very pleased with the entire process.

Been a great albeit long process thus far (because of VA loan not Clayton) but we finally closed last week. Blake was helpful throughout and knowledgeable of the process. Will update after we move in!

My wife and I purchased a home from Clayton homes Joplin to set on a property that we had purchased. Long story short it has been nothing but a hassle. Yes it is overpriced we were aware of that when we purchased it we were in a bind and had to make a hard decision. Yes I understand that I'm not going to get million dollar house quality out of an entry level modular home. Even with that understanding. the quality and craftsmanship of the home we purchased is disappointing to say the least. Walls not straight unlevel flooring, incorrect installation, water issues . Our modular home inspection failed several times before they decided to take action and correct SOME issues. All that being said it is not the most difficult and disappointing thing about Clayton homes. The most difficult and disappointing thing is the difficulty in communicating with Clayton homes. the lack of communication has been our biggest hurdle with making this our home. Issues don't get taken care of in a timely manner every time I call them they say they're going to have somebody call me back but they do not call me back. The few issues they have fixed they have arrived without telling me, without so much as a phone call or text, they startle my wife and cause a disturbance that could have been completely avoided had they made one phone call. The finished product was messy on the outside there are piles of mortar that had to be broken up and disposed of by us. They left the underside completely exposed without any heat tape and without warning us that it would freeze because they did not put heat tape on. My pregnant wife was in freezing conditions without water for an unacceptable amount of time. And there was an unacceptable amount of communication before they would have anybody take a look. Excuses and avoidance. We originally had them look at our property to tell us if it was a suitable location for this particular home and they said wholeheartedly that yes it was they never mentioned anything about us providing groundwork for proper drainage or that there could be a potential issue. According to their website they are supposed to work with homeowners to determine any other issues with the land or possible additional work that we would have to do. That never happened It was very cut and dry and once they made the sale they backed off completely from any consumer support. I am very disappointed with Clayton Holmes and I will never recommend them.

I do not recommend buying any Clayton Homes. It's like buying a house off TEMU. There is zero care, or craftsmanship in their home. I have lived here 4 months, most of the trim is coming up, we have uneven floor boards, nail heads sticking out under the flooring, WHITE HEX SCREWS to hold in the shower liners, we have no water pressure. they were just fine $200 because we had moisture in our crawl space, the dirt work they did before they set our house was subpar, and now we have to redo all of our own dirt work FOUR MONTHS AFTER IT WAS SET. All the water runs to our home, instead of away, we mentioned it, they didn't fix it, and just now after THREE INSPECTIONS and Clayton was fined, they are now referencing their small writing about dirt work saying it's our responsibility, well yah you didn't fix it before they did the foundation, duh!!! The lack of communication has been extremely frustrating. They also said they heat wrapped the pipes, well 7month pregnant in Feb my pipes freeze and we find out " they use to" but the sales guy said they still did, so had to deal with frozen pipes 2 days after my house was set and cleared to move in. Go buy a fixer upper, or go buy a used mobile, the amount of money you will spend doing repairs, and the frustration is not worth it. We paid $90,000 for a product that is worth maybe $40,000.Run, and run fast. Hopefully I can edit to add pictures and videos later.

I am so happy I called Clayton Homes in Joplin first! We had a house fire, and Blake was absolutely amazing helping us get things situated as quickly as possible. He was in contact everyday, even if it was just to ask how we were doing. When we went to the facility to see our house the other staff members came to meet us, and they were all very nice. Our new home was delivered within 2 months of the fire and we are very happy with it.
