  I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Jeff at Clayton Homes. From day one, he went above and beyond every promise he made—and actually delivered on all of them. That alone is rare these days. What stood out the most was how responsive and approachable he’s been. No matter the time or how simple (or silly) my question might have been, Jeff always took the time to respond quickly and with patience. I never once felt like I was bothering him, and that level of customer care really sets him apart. Buying a home can be stressful, but Jeff made the process smooth, straightforward, and even enjoyable. If you’re considering working with Clayton Homes, I can’t recommend Jeff highly enough. He’s someone you can trust to follow through and truly look out for you. Thanks for all you did for me Jeff!

  The Fredericksburg Clayton Homes team delivered outstanding service from start to finish on our guest house project. Sales Manager Carlton Brewer was singulary the reason why we decided to purchase a Clayton Home. He was an incredible asset, providing expert guidance through county approvals and a seamless design process. We felt like we were his only client when we knew we weren’t. Carlton was exceptional and represents the very best of what Clayton Homes has to offer. Project Manager Cory Lee managed the entire build with exceptional care and oversight, even coordinating with tradesmen while on vacation. Dave and Sarah also played key roles in the site preparation and final walkthrough, making sure every detail was perfect. This was the best building experience we've had, and we highly recommend their whole team. All of the tradesmen, Brad, Brooks Bricklayers, Matt (architect) , Mr. Lake (Porch builder), Tony (Electrician), Dry Wall person, Tree removal, and the plumbers that worked on our home were another reason why we were so very pleased with our Clayton Home. They should be commended for their work ethic and professionalism and respect for the job they do. Each one did their job professionally and were equally a valued member of the Clayton Homes team. Hopefully, we didn't miss anyone because everyone did an very expert job. Aaron Dupree who completed the home repairs was so very personable and did a fantastic job fixing our walkthrough items. He met my dad who is an Air Force veteran who served in the Korean War. It was so honored to have met him and he gave him a heartfelt thank you for his service. The Fredericksburg Clayton Homes Team is the definition of what Customer Service looks like and they are a true testament to their dedication and high standards of Clayton Homes.   Working with Layla at Clayton Homes was an incredible experience! She guided me through every single step — from the home buying process to the building and placement of my home. What could have been stressful felt simple and manageable because she truly cared and took the time to explain everything along the way. We closed and moved into our home in September 2023, and what stands out most to me is that her support didn’t stop there. To this day, I can text her with any question, big or small, and she’s always quick to help and guide me. That kind of dedication is rare, and it shows just how much she values her customers. Layla has been nothing but supportive, knowledgeable, and kind. I’m so grateful for her and would recommend her to anyone considering buying a home through Clayton.

  I was there a while ago with my fiancée as well as my Mother in law. We are in the process of trying to purchase a home and we were treated like we were stupid. I'm a firm believer that if you can't explain something simply then you clearly don't understand enough about it. I'm a technical guy who works in a position where I must use critical thinking to solve issues, but even I know how to break it down so anyone can understand them. Layla was extremely condescending to my fiancée and my mother in law. I did customer service long enough to know how hard it can be to work with the public, but I'd suggest having some empathy and compassion. For people with differing abilities, you may need to break down something in such a way that it's clearly understood. Even if you must break it down into simple terms. I myself am an information sponge, and I experienced information overload in this interaction. Not everyone has the same type of processing power, some people process information differently. The fact that they were belittled because of their inability to understand is disgusting, and she should be ASHAMED. "You can cuss me out in your car, you don't know what you're doing." I quote, albeit not quite verbatim. The stark contrast when my Fiancée and her mother went to the Charlottesville location was astounding. I'd give this location zero stars if I could. If I acted this way when I worked in customer service, I would have lost my job. We were not hostile to her in anyway, therefore the condescending responses we received were very unwarranted.
