Our experience with Citysearch started off reasonably well. During the tenancy, communication was fine and most of our maintenance requests were handled quickly. Unfortunately, the way things ended left a very sour taste.
When our initial 12-month lease came up for renewal, they informed us they wouldn’t be extending it as the owner decided to sell the house, which is of course well within our rights. Due to the poor timing of this for us we tried to find a temporary solution, but the follow-ups we received from Citysearch personnel were unnecessarily brief, poorly written, and unprofessional.
After moving out, we were shocked by their initial damage deposit deduction estimate with more than half of our deposit, using vague, inflated charges and no clear justification. Only after we questioned it did they reduce the amount, seemingly just enough to discourage us from filing a dispute. Anything to squeeze a couple hundred dollars out of a young family.
The final deductions were for unclear cleaning charges, even though we had the carpets professionally cleaned as required by the lease and left the house in good condition. Their report mentioned things like dusty baseboards and the carpet, which was probably already decades old when we moved in.
Overall, this company shows little professionalism or flexibility at the end of a tenancy. What began as a positive experience turned into a frustrating and disappointing one. I would not recommend renting through Citysearch.

My mom and I recently dealt with citysearch and our experience was nothing but amazing. They were thorough in their vetting process but also very helpful throughout the whole experience. The condo that my mom rented was nothing short of spectacular, was kept in immaculate condition and when she moved in even though we had a short turn around time for getting the place cleaned everything was spotlessly clean. It shows that they take pride in keeping their condos updated and well maintained. Working with Ashwin was amazing and we are grateful for the experience we had with them. I would recommend them any day!!!

My experience with this rental agency has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. From the very beginning, communication has been consistently poor — emails and requests often go unanswered for long periods, and when they do respond, it’s usually after significant delays and without providing any real resolution.
I’ve had to spend an unreasonable amount of time and effort just chasing them for basic updates and answers that should have been provided promptly. Instead of managing issues responsibly, I was left running after them for progress on matters that were clearly their responsibility.
There have also been clear breaches of contract and a lack of respect for agreed terms, showing little regard for professionalism or accountability. Their disorganization and poor communication have caused unnecessary frustration, wasted time, and added stress throughout my tenancy.
Overall, this agency has shown a serious lack of reliability, responsiveness, and professionalism. I would strongly caution anyone considering renting through them to think twice — based on my experience, they fail to meet even the most basic standards of proper property management and client service.
We rented through this company and had a great experience overall. Their MELD service works excellently—it was easy to use and they were very responsive via email. Whenever a repair was needed, the service people who came out (including Norm, the handyman) were excellent. The contractors they hire were professional and did quality work with no issues.
We also had our air conditioning serviced annually without any problems, which was fantastic. The company provides thorough documentation for move-in and move-out—something that may feel like a lot to some people, but for us it was very handy and made the whole process smoother especially at the end.
One important note: it’s worth making sure you understand the intentions of the individual owner of the unit you’re renting. It helps to be on the same page about how long you plan to stay and what their expectations are, so there are no surprises down the road.
Overall, both the MELD system and the professional services were outstanding, and we had a very positive rental experience.

Citysearch has gone severely downhill and if you are a tenant I would recommend staying far away from a property being managed by them. The turn over is high, I never know who my property manager is because they do not communicate when there is a change nor do they communicate internally about each file. Almost 6 months ago my washer had a pipe back up and Citysearch still has not coordinated the repairs to my unit. I was initially working with their maintenance director but he left and again there was no knowledge transfer and the ball was dropped on this. Then Vicky Glen the Operations Manager said she was going to assist me with this issue and ensure it gets taken care of promptly. Despite assuring me she would take care of it personally Vicky has not made any progress with getting my carpet replaced and on top of that she has ignored my emails and my calls requesting an update. On top of what they charge their clients to manage the property they also charge the tenant a fee each month. If you are looking for a property management company that will be responsive and helpful to their tenants this is not it and I highly recommend you look elsewhere. I will continue to advocate for my repairs to get done but this has gone on for far too long and the lack of responsiveness and action is beyond unacceptable and frustrating.
