I was shocked at how rude the staff were. We attended a show recently, and I get that everyone comes in at once, but it took staff SO long to get to our tables so that we could order drinks. They were also very rude whenever we tried to flag down a server. My server also elbowed me in the back to get my attention to pay my bill while the show was going on. We got 4 drinks and our total was $80…as Canadians it came out to $130 for 4 basic cocktails. Pretty absurd. The shows are also so short. Anyone going here for a show be prepared that they are max 1.5 hours. For $125 a ticket it felt like we just got there and the show was already over. Overall super weird experience.

We were there for a live music show. We ordered french fries and the dip platter.. the food was good but we waited over an hour for the dip platter. The dip were Obviously made ahead, no idea why it look so long. It was also very expensive for 2x FF, dip platter and two beers and a soft drink, our bill exceeded 100$

Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Stopped in for a drink and appetizers. The sauvignon blanc was great. Ordered a flat bread and the dip platter. The flat bread was great...pepperoni and sausage with hot honey. The dip platter never came out, so no opinion on that. I think a runner brought it out to the wrong table. Not blaming the server...bartender was super friendly and answered all of our questions about food drinks, etc. I will go back

We came here for the Golden Girls Drag Brunch in September.
We ordered the Pop Fizz and it did not come with fruit as advertised. When we asked the server about it he just dismissed it. If you are not going to provide an item, it should not be advertised.
Dancers were too money hungry. We paid to sit up front/premiere seating assuming there would be more stage entertainment.. but most of the time the performers were not on stage so it feels like a rip off paying for the upgraded seats. While they were entertaining -- often times it was just them coming over and grabbing money. It feels like they could've done more regarding Golden Girl references. Show was about 1.5-2hrs long.
Tables/Chairs should be set up to ensure guests are comfortable. We were on the edge so we had more space, but for others the venue is jam packed as the other reviews suggest. We had one random lady grouped with us which we all felt was awkward - including her. It would be nice if you could set up tables to have some space between bookings/groups. The tables are small and our server never came to clear our table throughout the entire show, which was annoying since we had little table space to work with and had drinks. I ended up just moving to an empty table.
The food was okay -- the food came out very fast, but it seems as though some of it was premade like fast food. Not the worst not the best food. I got the truffles fries and chicken and waffle. Food seemed a little pricey for lower quality.
It was nice that there was a photo opportunity with the performers after the show.
It's nice that the $25 minimum per person can be divided up in any way as long as the total of the bill meets or exceeds the number of people in your party multiplied by $25. Items from the brunch menu was available and served directly to our table for the duration of the show.
Something different to do - not sure I would go to another one.

Attending the Hip Hop Bingo event was my first time at City Winery. The host did a great job and the DJ kept us moving! The event itself was nice, but it was not long enough and a lot of us needed a better explanation of the rules. it was very tight in there because there were too many tables pushed together. I understand the more people you can get in there means more money for you, but we should be comfortable. I will attend another event at the winery.
