My son accidentally stepped on a long push pin while wearing his rubber Crocs, which poked his foot while we were shopping. While patiently waiting in line, I showed the older Spanish lady behind the counter the PIN and explained what had happened. She looked at it, took the pin from me without saying anything, and then returned to whatever she was doing. Her coworker, who was only a foot away, also said nothing and ignored the incident. I felt overlooked, and neither of the employees was kind about the situation. I simply wanted my son to be acknowledged regarding this issue, and I hoped that the staff would pay better attention to the pins in the store.
Before receiving my change, I asked the older, dark-skinned lady how she would feel if that were her son or daughter and no one cared about the situation. She mentioned that she would say something after giving me my change. It took her over five minutes to complete my transaction, and during that time, she didn't say a word. I expressed my feelings and asked for my cash, which she had in her hand, but she seemed reluctant to return it until she finished speaking. She told me I had an attitude, which is why she didn't say anything. Both employees' customer service skills are horrible! The way I was spoken to and followed outside by this employee was unacceptable! The manager overheard my conversation and followed me outside. She appeared to know how to address the situation by asking about an incident report. At that moment, the woman at the register came out aggressively, exclaiming, "See, I told you she has an attitude!" I will never shop at this clothing store again! The customer service is lacking, and no customer should ever feel as I do right now.
