Lots of cool a church artifacts. The art museum portion has a lot of stuff I personally wouldn't consider art unless it was at a kindergarten art class but maybe I am just not fancy enough.

If you are in Salt Lake City, I would definitely recommend coming to this museum. The volunteers are so nice and helpful and you can learn a lot. When I was there, there was a wonderful art display which I really enjoyed. Right across the street from temple square, it's an easy walk to get to.

This free admission museum tells the history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It has recently been redone with exhibits covering the early days of the Church under Joseph Smith on the first floor. They have many fascinating artifacts, such as the press used to print the first copies of the Book of Mormon, another volume of Christ centered scriptures that Latter-Day Saints use in addition to the Bible. You can also view objects owned by early Latter-Day Saints, a replica of Liberty Jail where Joseph Smith was held for several months, and the death masks of Joseph and his brother Hyrum who were killed by a mob in 1844. The upper floor is dedicated to the presidents of the Church, whom the members regard as prophets of God. If you have ever wondered about the Mormons and what they believe, this is a well done and informative place to visit.
