This was my one of my favorite stores for my pets and I really enjoyed taking my dogs. However, last time I was in there was not a good experience. Kinsey was extremely rude. My dog had taken a treat off of the shelf and I promptly put it back. There was no damage to the treat. I grabbed several items for purchase. I gave my dogs a bath. Next, I headed to the counter to pay. Kinsey, not only over charged me for my items, but then told me she was charging me for an extra treat because she saw my dog take it off the shelf. I explained to her what happened and she still charged me for the extra treat. Her response was " Well, just in case, I saw him take it off the shelf" Yes, she did see him take it off the shelf. And I explained to her that I put it back. Your employees should not be able to not only ring up the incorrect items (more expensive), but also charge for additional items at their discretion. Bad for business.

Absolutely 💯 service, helpful, polite and welcoming employees. A very nice product selection too, with some nice sales and a few clearance area.

I started shopping at Chow hound about 3 months ago when I found out they carry the food I purchase for both my dog and cat. They have a pretty decent selection for my pets needs, despite the higher cost I like supporting them. However, what makes me continue to shop at other stores/ purchase online is honestly their customer service. I do not look forward to going in there. The first time I went into the store, an employee snapped at me because I walked my dog by the cat cages. It was my first time ever there so I wasn’t aware that was an issue until she said that I wasn’t allowed to walk by the cage. But due to the flow of the store I’m not sure where else I was supposed to walk towards the register. I then proceeded to check out and when they gave me my total I asked if there was a rewards program. The cashier then sighed and said “there is, but it’s a lot of work to get signed up” and proceeded to tell me my total. I was dumbfounded. That’s literally your job! It was 9 in the morning and no one else was in the store. The next time I went in I was adamant on signing up. I am spending a good amount on pet food I should be able to receive rewards. The cashier signed me up in under a minute… Since then every time I go in the cashiers are always blunt, don’t say hi, don’t ask what you need, last week I walked up and said hi and was instantly cut off with- “rewards? Insert it on the pin pad.” I just wish their service was a bit friendlier.
