Upon pick up we learned he was sprayed by a skunk on his first night with them. Though most of the smell had been washed away with the correct solution, a slight hint of his adventure still lingered. As soon as we arrived back in town we went to Chow Hound to do another bath and hopefully further tamp down the au de skunk. But we learned that their dog bath closes 1 hour before the store does. We arrived minutes too late. I explained our unique "stinky" situation and the staff and manager agreed to open up a bath room for us even though it meant they'd have to scrub it down again for the night. (We felt horrible!) We were able to get our dog scrubbed, got him a new collar and got us on our way with our best boy smelling almost like nothing ever happened. Thank you Chow Hound staff members for accommodating us after hours. We can't begin to explain how much we appreciate you!
- DGDenise GarciaMay 3, 20251.0about a month ago i brought my dog for her bath & groom and the groomer decided it was better to cut her hair down than brush it out, she also only shaved her sides so she looks like she has a mohawk going down her back. the hair in her paws & around her butt where she should have actually trimmed, were left untouched. would not recommend.
