If you’re in Mesa craving Mexican breakfast/brunch that transports you straight to Mexico City streets – or just need a killer mimosa menu to start off your day – do yourself a favor and hit up Chilaquiles. From the churro French toast to weekend specials like chilaquiles trio everything screams quality and passion from owners Chef. I’ll be back next visit, probably for the “Paleta Shot” (tequila, blue curaçao, and lime – blue raspberry dreams, anyone?). 10/10, no notes. ¡Salud!

I normally prefer more the more classic American breakfast places, but I opted for something new this time. It was a let down. Presentation wise, it was a 10/10, but the food didn’t have much flavor. With all the things included in the Chilaquiles Torta, I was expecting something tasty for $19, but nothing stood out except for the random tortilla chips that would fall out of the torta. For a $19 torta, it should at least come with a side. I ordered a side of breakfast potatoes which were good. Another person at the table ordered the Steak and Eggs and said the only thing that had some flavor were the beans. I was expecting the pancakes to make up for the entree, but those were a disappointment. They were more dense than fluffy and reminded me of frozen pancakes. Also, if you get the Cafe De Olla, don’t expect refills. A refill was only offered for the regular coffee. If I had known that, I would’ve opted for regular coffee instead.

From the moment I walked into Chilaquiles the aroma and simmering spices enveloped me, promising a breakfast experience that would transport me straight to Mexico. This cozy spot, tucked away on Southern, is a hidden gem that every breakfast enthusiast needs to discover. I ordered the chilaquiles DF added beans and avocado and what arrived was a masterpiece. Two perfectly fried eggs sat atop crispy corn tortillas, smothered in a vibrant, homemade red sauce that had just the right kick. The flavors were a harmonious blend of smoky, spicy, and savory, each bite more satisfying than the last. It was a hearty and authentic meal that fueled my morning perfectly. I guarantee you'll leave with a full stomach and a happy heart!

Well we went here on a last minute decision we came here with our baby the server we had was very kind. We ordered the banana pudding pancakes, they were not very decadent as described found out they were missing a heap of whipped cream on top which might have helped its cause a little bit. Otherwise I felt like the pancakes were very rubbery and hard to cut into with a fork with lots of downward force needed. The second item we ordered was the breakfast burger which was very disappointing the whole thing wasn't seasoned at all I wasn't going to stop eating the yolks filled burger after I picked it up, not even the patty was seasoned, I don't even think the hash brown patties were even salted. Then we got a side order of potatoes for baby which came out first (quickly) I enjoyed them they were well seasoned the baby enjoyed them as well.

The overall experience here was good. The place is clean the staff are friendly and to my liking some of the food is pretty good. We are a family of 4 so here’s what we had. Husband ordered the tostadas de chicharrón which were very good. I had the chilaquiles DF also delicious and a big portion. I love cafe de olla so that was a must have. Everyone has different taste buds and opinions and my was the coffee was on the too sweet side compared to others I’ve had. I also tried one of the mini concha ( again honestly bread was a bit too dry) My daughter had the chicken and waffle ( the chicken is thin and crispy very well seasoned) for my little one we ordered the kids plate it comes with a pancake ( this was the saddest one, the pancake was dry it had an after taste definitely it was not our fave). Atmosphere was pretty good too, the music was a bit too high I think. I kinda had to speak on a higher tone in order for my husband whom was sitting across from me to hear. Overall good experience, good food.
