- KKKelseyelyse28Oct 9, 20252.0Great if you just need an install, terrible if you have any issues or need repeat visits. Had a new Water Softener installed the other year (even though now it turns out we probably didn't need to). After a while we realized our water was still terrible, he came back out and installed basically a new one but we still had the issue. Each time we needed him to come out to continue to try and figure out the problem we had to make multiple phone calls to get a response, multiple times he said he was coming by on a certain day/time and he never showed. After our last attempt to see if he could get things working he told me to let him know if the water was still bad, I let him know it was, never heard from him again and at that point we were done. Called Prairie State Water Solutions, they came out and discovered the issue right away (a valve that needed to be closed). So we spent money on a new softener for nothing and spent a lot of time dealing with hard water when we didn't need to.

In our previous home, Mark installed a reverse osmosis system that worked flawlessly for years. Because of that great experience, we had no hesitation calling them again for our new house build. This time, during our build, Mark installed a complete whole-home filtration system, water softener, and reverse osmosis system. The installation process was smooth and professional. He examined my unit, tested it and assured me it was still in good working order. I had expected a sales pitch. Instead I learned how to detect problems if any occur in the future.
