  Since the departure of Ms. Latifah, the environment at the school has changed significantly. There has been a noticeable lack of consistency in leadership, and the quality of student support and engagement has declined. It appears that the focus has shifted away from the children’s well-being and toward financial or administrative priorities. My child, who was once happy and engaged, became increasingly unhappy with the school experience. There have been fewer enriching activities for the students, and it feels as though their emotional and educational needs are no longer a priority. Additionally, I’ve had several negative experiences with the current principal, Ms. Sarah. I found her to be unprofessional, disrespectful, and lacking the empathy and leadership qualities necessary to foster a positive school environment. I’m not alone in these concerns — many other families have also chosen to leave the school following the change in leadership.

  We love Chesterbrook Academy Fairmount. Communication is great, and staff/teachers keep families updated during the day, and share information we need to know in an easy and efficient way. Mr. Chris and Ms. Asia are the best with the kids, nurturing and focusing on their needs. The curriculum and activities are tailored to teach develop children skills and prepare them for PreK and K.

  After recently moving to Philadelphia and spending a year at home with my daughter, enrolling her in daycare was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made. The thought of being away from her and leaving her with people we didn’t know was overwhelming. I am so thankful that those “strangers” turned out to be the warm, dedicated, and compassionate staff at Chesterbrook Academy. From day one, they have gone above and beyond to make this transition smooth and comforting for both my daughter and our family. Her toddler transition teacher, Ms. Angie, has been nothing short of amazing. My daughter has formed a special bond with her and lights up every morning knowing she’ll see her. Ms. Angie’s kindness, patience, and gentle, nurturing approach have been unmatched. We are also grateful for Ms. Rose, whose warmth, attentiveness, and clear passion for teaching have helped our daughter adjust and thrive. And last but not least, Ms. Umbrenda from the toddler room has already shown such love and encouragement. Her calm presence and genuine affection for the children are so reassuring, and I know my daughter will flourish under her care next year. An institution is only as strong as the people who work there—and Chesterbrook Academy is truly fortunate to have such remarkable individuals. We feel equally lucky and at peace knowing our daughter is surrounded by such genuine care every single day.

  We absolutely love this daycare! The staff is incredibly kind, caring, and attentive. From the very first day, we felt welcomed and confident that our daughter was in great hands. A special thank you to Ms. Syndie — she is truly an exceptional professional. Our daughter adores her, and it’s clear how much love and dedication she puts into caring for the kids.

  We love coming to Chesterbrook Academy! The whole team is so friendly and warm. Everyone brings a kindness and attention that feels thoughtful and genuine: from morning greetings to learning the names of all of the caretakers in our family including grandparents, the team creates a real sense of belonging. Our kiddo’s teacher Ms. Syndie is so loving and down to earth. She immediately made our baby feel comfortable, and we appreciate all of the deliberate, structured activities they do even in the infant rooms! Our babe is learning way more and staying busier than they would at home. Thank you Chesterbrook!
