One of my favorite places for take out in Lancaster. I go multiple times a month and it’s never disappointing. Always plenty of flavor, reasonably priced and fresh. Whether it’s a bowl or an arepa, you can’t go wrong. The yucca fries are crispy and fresh and the steak is always well seasoned.

The cutest take out style eatery with plenty of outdoor seating, games, and music. The food was the best I have had in a long time that I didn’t have to make myself. I have to eat gluten free and it was great knowing it is a gluten free establishment so I was safe to eat anything I wanted without fear of cross contamination. The staff was friendly. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

It’s time for my review of Chellas for this location only. Chellas has good food and it’s a well frequented spot for many in this area. But about $38.00 worth of food and was disappointing in the portion of the dinner/lunch main dish ordered which was the grilled steak and rice. The food is flavored well maybe a little too heavy on the salt but the portion they give in the to go paper container is ridiculous for the amount of money you are paying. I ordered the same thing on two different days just to see if it was just an error. On both orders there was hardly any of the rice in the container. The arepas are nice and hot and toasty but there is no taste to them and I’ve had some arepas else where that just kept me going back. The to go container in which your food is served in is so flimsy that by the time you get to your destination it’s either crushed or falling apart. The chimichurri served on the side in the plastic container leaks out which they don’t wrap it in anything else to avoid leaking. So putting together the flimsy container that feels like paper together with a leaking chimichurri and you an annoying mess by the time you are ready to eat. The order of plaintains is in a aluminum container but the sweet plantains looked like there is water at the bottom of the container and not sure why there would be that much water. Cost of the dinner $16.98 (rice and steak). The staff is really nice other than that.

Our visit to Chellas Aprepa was accidental but turned out to be nothing short of great luck. It was incredible! I loved the food (I ordered myself 2 dishes cause I couldn’t decide) and I loved the outdoor seating where the kids could play. We unfortunately are not local to the establishment but I will make sure that we are passing by there again on future travels to the Lancaster area.

As someone who is gluten-intolerant, this was a lovely treat! I ate here multiple times during my time in the Lancaster area. The food was delicious. The only downsides are that the arepas are on the small side, and they're fairly messy. Totally worth it, but price-wise it gets a bit expensive if you need to buy two to feel like you got a full meal. Oh, and I personally felt like they overdid it with the cheese. I had to remove a bunch so I could eat it and taste the rest of the food in the arepa.
