  I've been to this store, located at 9840 San Jose Blvd, in Jacksonville, FL, 6 times now. Each time the food has been fantastic, and the service has been sub-par. The reason for the 1 star review now is that for the 7th, 8th, and 9th time I went to the store, I was unable to order and left empty handed. Once I came at 9:50pm, 10 minutes prior to close, and was told the store is closed. The next time I came at 9:40, and while there were several employees at the register and behind the counter, as I knocked on the door, they looked up at me and looked away without any explanation for the locked doors 20 minutes before the posted closing time. The final time, I stopped at the drive through 1 hour prior to closing at 8:57pm, asked if they'll be open at 9:30 for me to come place an order, and they told me they're staying open until 10. I reiterated to the customer service associate that I'll be gone for a while, and will be back between 9:30 and 9:45, and asked again if they'll still be able to serve me at that time, and I was told as long as I come before 10 I would be able to place an order. I tried placing my order online via the Charleys app at 9:34 and was blocked from placing it. I came to the restaurant at 9:40 exactly and again found a locked up store, full of employees cleaning and trying to leave early while leaving a bad taste in my mouth about their lack of integrity, blatant dishonesty, and repeated utter disregard for customer satisfaction. If the store closes at 9, or 9:30, just post that! Stop lying to your customers and exciting them with fantastic food that is no longer available when they come within business hours. It's really not that hard.

  First time trying this location, first time trying Charley’s drive thru in general. I’ve had it in the mall and it’s always been ok, but it’s been a few years since I’ve had Charlie’s in general so I assumed an independent location would be even better. Service was ok, waited about 5 minutes in drive thru, no rush assumed food would be fresh. It was completely raw, raw bacon, cold raw steak meat. Immediately got a refund, came inside and received a refund, no issues, but the lady who made it was yelling and talking shit in Spanish . Everyone else was understanding. Not impressed. Won’t be returning.

  Got the chicken California add bacon. Got home not even enough chicken to fill half the sub roll and no bacon. Tried to call the store to get a manager and no one answers the phone. Run by kids and food made by kids. More interested in playing than making your food correctly. Too much money to not get what you pay for.

  I’ve been to this location several times since they have opened and the food was always great but for the past couple months the food has not been up to par regarding its quality…it’s very upsetting. Called to talk to a manager but no one ever answers. This should be expected when buying food out. The cheese for the fries taste spoiled.
