  This place has good food and a good environment I can't say that it amazed me while I was traveling there and wanted to try Kansas City Barbecue personally but it is better than a few other barbecue spots that are well known in the city.

  First time at this location, always been a fan of the Parkville location and of Meat Mitch in general. We got the massive meat sampler along with the chimichanga (I think that's what it was) and it was all amazing. Mac and Cheese was fantastic too. Our server was super friendly and attentive and the whole building has a great vibe. Lots of BBQ choices here in KC, but Char Bar is the one I always come back to. Oh and dessert was the perfect capper!

  Hands DOWN the Best BBQ in Kc,Mo! Its off the charts fantastic! The rub is delicious no sauce needed. You can easily enjoy the plump melt in your mouth flavorierful ribs, the smoke of the wood chips- incredible,that set these ribs apart from all others. The burnt ends were NOT fatty; they were juicy and tender with the perfect light crisp on the ends!!! OMG da' mac-n-cheez,,,just saying you better jump in with all fours, 'cause chef done put their foot in it!!! The broccoli slaw yum, I'd toss some dried cranberries in to take it up a notch. The sweet potato fries - perfectly seasoned with crispyness no ketchup needed. The baked beans bring little heat, you'll sit tall in your seat an dive in for more! The service was outstanding. The mngr. took time to chat & ck on us; the atmosphere was chill and not crowded for a weekday. I've had other BBQ from all over kc, one had been my favorite. BUT NOW Char Bar is the BEST so far!!! The portion sizes - perfectly perfect for taking leftovers home to have two meals. Char Bar Westport & Howa'About thoz Chiefs!

  This. Became my favorite place over the summer, I even created great bonds with a few bar tenders but Saturday I was put out after I paid for my meal, when me and my spouse arrived I was smoking, finished then we were sat at the table we wanted and got food, paid 82$ including the tip provided for John who was a excellent host. After our meal we ordered another drink and went over to what has always been known as " the smoking area" even previous times we asked about smoking at the outside bar EMPLOYEES verified it was a smoking area... Saturday it all of a sudden became a no smoking area at even though they have no signs. Then attempted to call security because I was upset of the unfair treatment. A woman who was sitting next to us literally smoked a cigarette but asked my spouse to put his out and she as well said they were picking. It's not about the marijuana it about the cigarette, since when could you not smoke lol not to mention I was there the literal day before SMOKING in the same spot

  We sat outside enjoying the atmosphere when we were approached by a male staffer telling us we need to check in with hostess. Then he said he would let her know we were there. No worries, we were in no hurry. After about 8-10 mins (and seeing the hostess come by twice with menus) I got up and found her, told her we were seated outside, she was not thrilled. She grabbed the flatware and menus and headed out to seat us. We had our dog, out of the way and attached to our picnic table. She placed the menus and flatware at a table two tables from where we were seated. I enquired about staying at the table at which we were already seated and her response was “ I don’t have a server for there.” Two tables away? Are you kidding me? If your servers can’t walk two tables over- well… that’s pretty pitiful. We left. Will not go back- no worries.
