Amazing food, vibrant decor, and friendly staff. Everything tastes good and authentic, and the atmosphere is full of energy. It can get quite crowded on weekends or in the evenings, so be prepared to wait a bit.

Food is pretty great and the staff are awesome. Genuinely super loud and overstimulating atmosphere though. Basically have to raise my voice to talk to anyone at the same table as you so far every time I go

I decided to have lunch here because of the good reviews that I read. I'm sorry; this review will not be among them. I ordered breakfast. Eggs and chorizo. Kind of hard to get wrong, but this restaurant managed to burn the chorizo, scramble it into eggs and serve it to me. It was crunchy 😞.
My server, Samuel, had a monotone voice paired with unenthusiasm that had me hesitant to ask for another plate. I don't know how that plate even left the kitchen 😳. I got a to-go box, filled it up, and hope someone will be hungry enough to enjoy it 🤷🏾.
The patio was quaint and cozy. Perfect on a cloudy day.
Overall, a disappointment. I don't recommend.

We were really disappointed with our first visit to Casa Guadalajara last week. They advertise authentic Mexican food, but the dishes didn’t taste authentic at all. My hard shell tacos had a small amount of tightly packed shredded beef, my friend’s shredded chicken in the enchiladas had an odd flavor, and our other friends’ red chile tasted strange and was greasy. The fajitas were bland. We all agreed that we had such high hopes for this place, even the beans didn’t even taste like beans, and the rice had a fake seasoning flavor. We all did not finish our dishes.
Service was decent, but it took him a long time to get our cards back after paying. What really concerned us was seeing our tip adjusted from 18% to 20% after the transaction cleared a few days later, which was something we did not authorize. While the difference was small, that’s not acceptable.
Overall, very disappointing food and experience. Sadly, we won’t be back. Old Town Mexican Café is a much better choice for authentic, flavorful Mexican food!

Casa Guadalajara was recommended by the missionaries at the Mormon Battalion museum and it was a perfect lunch location. Crispy chips, flavorful salsa with a perfect level of heat. The taco salad was fresh, flavorful and delicious. The appetizer platter consisted of taquitos and quesadillas and if you like meaty cheesy goodness it’s a great starter. They had live music and a fun, festive atmosphere. Prices averaged $20 per dish but they were large enough to easily share.
