  Nice place, good service, great food, but overpriced. We've been coming here for years. The staff is always friendly and attentive and they serve the best Mexican food in the area. Unfortunately, they are pricing themselves out of our budget. Web sources say $10-$20 per person - never gonna happen. Dinner for two with soft drinks was over $60 after tip. No appetizers other than the chips and salsa, no dessert, no cocktails. The prices have soared over the past few years - more than other places. Example: Cheese sauce that was $0.99 just a few years ago is now $3.49. Three and a half bucks for a spoonful of topping is ridiculous. Then a surprise on the check - a 4% surcharge for using a credit card. That's something new, with no warning on the menu. We enjoyed the meal, but felt like we were price-gouged at every opportunity. Unfortunately, what used to be a regular dinner spot for us will now be a once or twice a year destination. Too bad, because we really enjoy the atmosphere and the food.

  I ordered a dinner for my wife and myself. She ordered fajitas and I ordered their carnitas. The food was very good and fresh. I would highly recommend this restaurant and especially if you are fortunate to be served by Gabriella, a pro that will go beyond the call of duty to ensure your absolute best experience. Please give considerations to the Agave restaurant when trying to figure out dinner to go or a great sit down meal.
