A great campground. This time of year was perfect. Not too hot and very few people on beach.

We stayed here for 4 weeks and it was so relaxing. The bath houses are cleaned often, the front desk texts you to make sure you are doing OK and we were Beach front (20 steps). It was a perfect location to start our full-time RV Living. They have a pool, mini mart, laundry and mini golfing. They also have a rotating food truck. If you are looking for Beach front, this is your place!

Will not allow any drivers (Uber, food delivery, Amazon, etc.) to enter so you’d have to walk or drive up to the front gate, a problem if you are handicapped and have no vehicle other than your motorhome. It’s about a mile from the front gate to the shoreline.

Went down mid-september and really enjoyed it. It is the same entrance as Pirateland. Google seems to freak a little because of that. We had a pull through on market street one spot from the end, site859. The site had a concrete pad and was nice.Great location. Getting into the site was a little tight with my 40ft fifth wheel. The putt putt course needs some work. We will be back. Carolina Shores seems to own most of everything north of market street or about 60% of Pirate land as I easy told. A lot of the roads have fresh asphalt and they are replacing a lot of the shelters. Also, they are building a new indoor pool.
Gregg, one of the Rangers, was amazing. He picked us up at the front in a golf cart after dark and drive us to our site. He was very kind and cordial the entire time we were there. The staff of Carolina shores was amazing. I didn't love how everything was closed down but it was off-season. However, one staff members of Pirateland, who checks you in and out at the gate was lacking. He was rude, dismissive and I've heard multiple complaints about him from other guests.
