- MWMack Will2 days ago1.0Went there yesterday 10/30/2025 and got flagged for straw purchase.I admit I was on the phone talking to my coworker when I walked in but when the guy told me that I couldn't be on the phone I said, oh, my fault I didnt really notice the signs and I took my earpiece out got off my phone.And I continued to browse, the 2 workers that helped me already gave me vibes they didnt want to help me with a purchase. I debated between the used ducks unlimited hellcat pro and the gear up package hellcat pro. I debated because of how much I wanted to spend and ultimately decided on the gear up package. So when I said I wanted it he gave a long pause of silence and said OK and went to tge back to get the box which took awhile to get. He came back and brought the box to the front and I gave my driver license and cc permit, he started acting like he was keying in my information and then proceeds to tell me that they can't sell to me because they believe it's a straw purchase because I was on the phone. First of all, why would you even go back to the back and grab the package and bring it back to the front and have me give my license and conceal carry permit if you suspected me of a straw purchase? Why not kick me out the store when they suspected it? I recommend anyone that is African American go 10 minutes to greenville to SOUTHERN CALIBER GUNS AND AMMO!! They have a more diverse staff if you catch my drift and dont mind helping a brother out. Will never shop here again, why would I risk my freedom to purchase a gun for somebody else? SOUTHERN CALIBER GUNS AND AMMO!! Is the way to go. MISSED OUT ON A $600+ purchase over an assumption.
