Can’t believe anyone would give this bank a low review! Customer service is AWESOME!! Been with them 23 years! Shout out to the operations department for helping me out. Love this bank. Always a member forever.

Card was declined while trying to make a purchase at a hardware store. I have sufficient funds in my account. I tried to call Cape Ann Savings Bank customer service line. An automated voice said no one was available to help me....um, what? It's a Saturday at noon... It's 2025... No one can help me? Ok, so I call the toll free number, same response. I leave a voicemail. Two hours later, no call back. I call the customer service number again and try selecticinf multiple prompts, after several hours, I am transfered via automated software to a woman who doesn't speak English well enough for me to understand her. She says "you're card all set." ...I ask why it was declined and she says "there is no fraud" ... Ok that's nice, how would she know? Why was it declined, I inquire again... And she says "I don't know, call your bank's customer service number" ... That's how I got in touch with her. Clearly a terrible answering service. I've never been so frustrated with a bank in my life. On Monday, I am closing my accounts and switching to a more modern and helpful bank. What a farce.
