  I was on the phone with the worker for after hours and I explained that my dog needed help. Well the receptionist, who picked up the phone on Tuesday Sep 30. 2025 at 7:15 needs to be fired and put in jail for good. This place ought to get shut down just off of this one experience and I wouldn't recommend bringing my pet fly here. People stay far away! If you can go elsewhere, please save yourself and your loved one. She asked me if I wanted to take a message... When I explained that I needed a vet right away. She said that they were closed and that she could take a message. I have never heard anyone not only move so slow on the phone but act so careless towards a customer. I mean, this is people giving you their money!! You should at least treat them with respect, or at least thats what I believe. She then went to ask me for my name as if she was going to actually help me and when I told her my name which was "Tyler" she proceeded to ask me how to spell that. Just out of spite when she could tell that I was upset with how she was treating me on the phone when my loving pup was hurting. Trying to take more time off of the small amount I have to act to make the dire situation better. Please, save your pets from this torture I had to deal with and steer clear of this place so that they can close down. Its the only thing they deserve!

  While on vacation our 10 week old kitten had a medical emergency. Dr. Julieanna and her staff were the most honest and compassionate people I ever met in the field. I would travel the 5 hours to get her opinion if needed. Angelle Broussard

  The super kind and understanding staff at Canal Road Animal Hospital worked with us to arrange an emergency euthanasia for our 15 year old family cat who had a lung mass. He went downhill suddenly while visiting in Orange Beach. Dr Julianna Taylor arranged time for us to bring him when it was quiet. She was so caring, gentle and kind. My family was able to all be with him as his pain was all taken away and he peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge. I cannot thank Dr. Taylor and staff enough. You all helped us through this difficult process. ♥️

  Dr. Taylor and her staff are one of a kind! I have been taking my animals to Canal Road for years. Over the weekend my 12 year old dog was having some issues. They were able to get him in ASAP and ran bloodwork, urinalysis and took X-rays. Dr. Taylor called me to update me after she had examined him and took time to talk to me personally when he was ready to be discharged. Definitely would recommend Dr Taylor to anyone and everyone!
