Notice on the Canada Goose corporate site how there are no ratings on their products? There's a reason for that. They claim to have a lifetime warranty, but I cannot express my disappointment more in this company that is supposed to be a leader in the industry for their quality.
My husband bought me a jacket from Somerset, and the sales folks were great. It was a Christmas gift, and we needed to exchange sizes. They were wonderful, and my husband put a lot of thought in to the gift.
I wore it for about three months in Jan-March 2024 after I received it and notice a little bit of fading around the cuffs, but didn't think much of it. I put it away for the winter in it's original bag. When I pulled it back out in Nov 2024, I realized the fading was not just on the cuffs, but was starting to appear on the entire jacket. I wore it in November and December, had it professionally cleaned at a reputable dry cleaner for $50, and the beautiful bright red jacket was now a shade of pinky/orange. I didn't wear it again, took it to the Somerset store where they agreed it was extremely faded, and proceeded to follow the warranty process. It cost $50 to send the jacket in.
After they received the jacket, I emailed to ask a question through the warranty site and received an auto reply that the email was no longer monitored - I should use the chat. There is no chat on the warranty page.
Finally, I see an update that they are doing repairs around the cuffs, but nothing about the color. I call in to the warranty office and was told they will have them re-look at it.
Received no feedback, only to then get a note that my repairs were complete and it was going to be shipped back.
I called again, asking them not to ship the jacket as my concern was not addressed and to speak with a supervisor. I was told I would get a call in 24-48 hours.
No call, but five days later, I get an email saying my jacket was being shipped back to me. I AGAIN called warranty and they said a supervisor should call me that day and there is no way for them to transfer me to a supervisor. No call back by 6p.m. that night.
I tried to call at 6:30p.m. EST and "the offices are closed. Normal hours are M-F 9a.m.-10p.m. EST." I feel like I'm being punked at this point, as I receive an email last night that my case is closed.
My husband got me this as a beautiful surprise, and it has turned in to a $2000 disaster.
The jacket was worn LESS THAN FIVE MONTHS in normal winter conditions, but they are considering the fading 'normal wear and tear.' I haven't gotten to wear it this year at all, because it was with cleaning (required before shipping to them), and then has been with them for over a month.
I'm at a complete loss. I've been sitting on hold again this morning for over 20 minutes waiting 'to be transferred to a supervisor'.... even though yesterday I was told that wasn't an option. Apparently the supervisors don't start work until 9:30a.m. and some days they don't work at all.
I am disgusted and disappointed in this so-called luxury brand. BBB has them rated as an F because of failure to respond to customer complaints and inquiries. Wish we had read it before purchasing this jacket.
