We purchased a 2023 Sandstorm from Forest River by Camping World in Phoenix, Oregon (now combined with Camping World of Medford) in May of 2024, and it turned out to be one of the most frustrating and costly experiences we’ve ever had. Less than a year later, after countless problems and over 200 days of the RV sitting at their shop, we ended up trading it in at a huge loss—just to be done with it. From day one, it was issue after issue. The RV wasn’t properly set up for our brand-new Denali, which led to damage on our truck. And instead of taking responsibility, they wanted us to file an insurance claim on our policy. Windows weren’t sealed properly and leaked. The landing gear went out multiple times, and even after repeated failures, they refused to install a proper two-motor system. Those are just a few of the issues we encountered. We had to fight for every single repair, and worse—some issues weren’t covered under the factory or aftermarket warranties, so we ended up paying out of pocket. Each repair meant hauling the unit back and forth from Klamath Falls to Medford—burning more money in fuel and time. And despite it all, the RV spent more time in the shop than in our possession and available to go camping, not to mention the many ruined vacations. To be clear, the sales and service staff were friendly and professional—we don’t blame them personally. They were clearly just as frustrated as we were. But it became obvious that, by the end, everyone just wanted us to go away. Well, mission accomplished. We will NEVER spend another dollar or moment of our time at Camping World. And we strongly caution anyone considering a purchase from them—especially if you don’t live right down the street—because if anything goes wrong, you’ll be the one paying the price.

the worst spot to shop for an RV or RV supplies. So get this, I bought an item for $18 cash. the next day I "attempted" to return the item. receipt in hand, item unused and here's what I was told. We don't have enough cash on hand to process your return. I look around the room confused, I see a sign that says "America's #1 place to buy an RV". wow I say to myself, #1 spot but not enough cash to handle my $18 refund? yes that's exactly what they said. we are sorry, our store hasn't sold $18 worth of products today (at 4:30pm) so we can either give you a gift card or we will mail you a paper check. I couldn't help but laugh out loud, that is before I realized they were completely serious. here's the real reason, the sales people are all paid commissions. no one takes the paper check by mail (I did) everyone just takes the gift card. now the salesperson gets to keep the commission and Camping World gets to keep your money. Youre better off taking an ethics class from a 1980's used car salesman than you are doing business with these sharks. I was only dealing with an item that costs $18, imagine if the item was $$ thousands of dollars. good luck getting your money back then. the sales girl Cass was polite and the store manager Jessica was unhelpful but at least smiled while she explained how destitute camping world is.
