We visited on the fifth of november. The machines were so very tight! NObody was having a good time. NO SENSE OF WINNING ANYTHING. The alcohol was flowing however after 10:00 p.m. there is zero food available they shut the restaurant down. So all the gamblers that were hungry after 10:00 p.m. we're out of luck. When inquiring about food we were instructed to go to the vending machine that was empty. So decided to stop gambling and went into our room to hopefully check out early in the morning so we can find some food. The shower was disgusting it backed up so you're standing up to your ankles in water the shower curtain is from 1978. The elevator has not been cleaned since covid I don't think we'll be back it just feels like one big money grab and they definitely don't cater to their guests

I have been going to jackpot Nevada for years I just went down there yesterday November 5,2025 I have not ever been so disappointed as I was this last time. It use to a fun place to go but they made it so hard to even play for very long unless you keep throwing more and more money the machines are set up so tight that you don’t win unless you keep feeding them and the casino doesn’t have hardly anyone in them like that use so I guess maybe management should make some changes because I was not the only one complaining unless they just want to close there doors after this experience I don’t think I will be back they is a tribal casino very close to where I live I don’t need to drive all the way to jackpot. there was only two cocktail waitresses and I got there about three and tried to play until 8:30 and I only got one drink the new manager is not helping this place out by doing all these changes from the way it was before very dissatisfied

Ive been visiting Cactus Pete's for years. Just got back from weekend today. The experience keeps getting worse and worse! You can gamble but there is absolutely no where in the casino you can eat! Kind of part of the experience don't you think. They are currently offering an overpriced what they call "Buffet". It is definitely not worth the price and is seriously the only option in the casino. Who wants that twice a day? Trust me you don't!
I would hold off going there until they get it together.
If the casino between boise and twin actually
happens ,Pete's will absolutely go under!
Don't treat the people that made you like this! Don't bite the hand that feeds you! Soooo disappointed!

The rooms were clean and staff is quiet friendly. Check-in is a fast process. We have stayed at the casino several times and been quite satisfied. This time, the Desert Room was closed for remodeling and we had no other option but to go the casino's buffet for dinner. Totally disappointed. The dinner price was overpriced for the choices of foods and the quality of food was poor. The food was lukewarm and bland. We tried the buffet for breakfast. Again it was going to be overpriced but the only choice we had before a long trip. The buffet was supposed to open at 7:00 AM, but after 15 minutes, it still wasn't open. The staff was still setting out food. We didn't have time to wait and needed to get on the road. No breakfast for our group.

Cactus Pete’s interior feels dated and worn, particularly in the tower rooms. The non-smoking floors and rooms smell strongly of cigarettes. We dined at the Desert Room, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish.
The food was mediocre at best, and the service was poor. Our waiter took our order and didn’t return until delivering the food. Several items we’d requested were missing, and despite waiting another 20 minutes after finishing our meal, he never came back to check on us.
While sitting there, I noticed other diners also appeared frustrated with their food or service. This wasn’t due to being short-staffed — I counted two bussers, four servers, and two hostesses.
As for the meal itself, I ordered the Cuban sandwich. It came on a French roll with just a couple of slices of ham, cheese, and pickles, and appeared to have been pressed with an iron. It lacked both flavor and presentation.
When we finally went to the front desk to pay, our waiter suddenly reappeared, saying with a snarky tone that there was “no point” in paying there since he was our cashier. The entire exchange summed up the experience — unprofessional and unpleasant.
We chose to have breakfast elsewhere the next morning. I won’t be returning until significant improvements are made.
