- KAKelly AllenJul 31, 20255.0Great Experience! Burkett Ace Handyman Services is our definite "go to" for handyman projects for our new home! We've had superbly professional service from them for our new home here in New Port Richey. They've provided fast responses time, thank you Kayla, efficient construction work, thanks Kris, and the results are already positively transforming our house! We have many additional updates forthcoming and we know who to use! I've included pictures of Kris's work. He finished the job today, but we're waiting for the stain to dry before taking more pictures. I did include one before picture for reference, and so you can see the improvements already taking place. I hope I'll be able to edit/add them to this review, but I wanted to post our incredibly positive experience right away! We will be having the house painted in the next month or two, and we intend to add shutters and flower boxes to the front of the house as well. Thanks again, Burkett Ace Handyman Services! - BPBrad ProsserJul 13, 20252.0Day 1 seemed OK other than 40 minutes of my billable time being spent searching for & repairing glasses & leaving a mess of wood chips & paint Chips For my dog to get into. Day 2 The Handyman has now said four times “I’m not a handyman, I’m a Master carpenter”. The Carpentry that was done was not to my satisfaction. In an area where I asked for one piece of wood, there’s now two. This was discussed specifically during the consultation. Further adding to my displeasure, they are different thicknesses, creating a ledge for dust and soot, over a fire pit. I found wood scraps, planks with rusty nails on my firewood pile. Nothing was hauled off. I am also wondering how I’m going to get up the paint that was dripped on my patio pavers. When charging me for the second day, after giving me a total, We had to wait five or 10 minutes for the office to add on a gallon of paint. $75.00! When asked if it was $75 for 1 gallon of paint, the Handyman said “well, I needed a roller too”. I will not use Ace Handyman services again, nor will I refer them. Edited to add pertinent information…7/20/2025 It is now been just over a week and the 22 dark brown knots in the apparently cheap knotty pine that was used on my project are already bleeding through the white paint. This is supposed to be a stark focal point of my patio, Now the bleeding blotches are the focal point.
