  If I could give zero stars, I would. Buffington Properties is by far the worst rental experience we have ever had. When we moved in, the house was absolutely disgusting—filthy floors, reeking of smoke, and rat traps already set out. When we questioned it, they claimed the traps were “preventative” and told us it was our problem. They never hire professionals for repairs. Instead, the landlord just sends her boyfriend out, and the work is done poorly every single time. The pool leaked constantly, driving our water bill into the hundreds—and sometimes over $1,500 a month. We reported it again and again, but they never cared. They’d do a quick, sloppy patch job, and the same issue would come right back, costing us even more money. When we moved out, the home was cleaner than when we first got the keys. They even told us during the walk-through how amazing it looked and thanked us for not destroying anything. Then they turned around and kept our entire deposit anyway. This company does not care about tenants. They will cut corners, ignore major issues, and stick you with outrageous bills. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from Buffington Properties. Renting from them will only end up costing you thousands and leaving you frustrated.

  My review is for Krista K. I have had nothing but a great experience so far. Krista has been so amazing with contact. Communication is one of my biggest peeves and I couldn't be more pleased. She is super responsive and even if she doesn't have the answer, she gives me an update. She answers all of my questions, including the ones that may seem silly. She's gone above when taking care of my needs as a renter. Including her interaction with my children. I am a very happy customer so far, and only see it going up from here! Only thing I would say is, get an online payment system! 😉 haha. But that's not on her personally. I've told her many times over the last month and a half of working with her how much she is appreciated. I hope good karma comes her way, as she is deserving.

  I rented for 4 yrs in one of there high end condos in Bellair, the place above me flooded due to an illegal washer....My place was not remideated within OSHA, EPA or any guidelines.. swept under the rug. I had to vacate for a month and was told I would be paid for this expense . NEVER Happened... they did turn my AC to 6o degrees for a month 24/7 while I was in the hotel, added an air dehumidifier and if the property mgmt agent had time she could see if she coould empty the dehumidifier unit yet could not guarantee as she was so busy but asked if a friend of mine could do it. I was told I would be reimburse the funds of the Duke Energy Bill $300.00, as well as my month stay at a hotel 1850.00 again NEVER happened. My TV mount of 4 yrs which was mollied into the wall literally fell out of the wall within a week as the walls which are filled with water started to disintegrate and anything attached to the damaged walls started to just fall off the wall onto the floor randomly. It was scary, frustrating and horrible as I was relying and trusting Buffington Property MGMT. I was given a lettet from the company suggestion I should move ASAP so they could properly remediate...In doing so I was penalized and they kept my security deposit of $1400.00. This is INSANE, as it's on the market for sale and zero remediation has been done.. The follow up email was BOGUS as No one Krista, has made any attempt to contact me. I have left several emails, phone and text messages and continue to be blown off.

  Been renting from buffington properties for about 4 yrs now. I absolutely love Krista and Barbie 🥰 anytime something needed prompt repairing, they had it handled very quickly! Same days for emergencies like plumbing or a/c issues 👍

  If I could give this business 10 stars I would. They have gone above and beyond for me and my family, even through the hardest times, They made things so smooth for us. The hurricanes From last year did a great deal to our home. They took Us out of that situation and put us in a better situation. I’m so thankful and honored to have them.I have been with them for a few years now and will continue to be until we venture out and purchas a home. The office staff is incredible, when things need to be done it gets done right away. I couldn’t have asked for anyone else during our time of renting! -Michelle
