  Love Buffalo Wild Wings normally but this location sucks. Went to get lunch today and had to wait a bit which isn’t an issue. Then we get seated and order an appetizer and drinks. We sit and wait on our appetizer for over 45 minutes watching everyone get served meals when they got there after us. Then our server brings us our meals and the wings are freezing cold and I guess the appetizer never came. She felt bad and said she would take it off the tab and actually ended up bringing it out after we already ate our meals. At that point we didn’t really want it but it was a nice gesture. She then proceeds to charge us full price for everything after literally bringing our appetizer out after the meal and telling us it was free of charge. A simple lunch ended up taking around 2 hours I’m not normally one to write a review especially since I normally like Buffalo but I am still shocked at how my experience was.

  To go couldn’t be worse!!! I’ve tried every method- directly through the website, third party, over the phone and the timing is always ridiculous. I don’t mind waiting but be accurate with the time. Recently, I ordered through their direct website and was given 40 minutes. I called AN HOUR after I placed the order (knowing from previous experience that it wouldn’t be ready when they said it would be) and was told ANOTHER 10 minutes. I get to the restaurant 15 minutes later and was told ANOTHER 10 minutes. 20 minutes later I finally get my food, get home (I know, shame on me for not checking at the restaurant) and my food was wrong!!! The host couldn’t be more slow. They are the first person to set the tone for your experience when you enter a restaurant and the Athens location is severely dropping the ball on their front end and Togo service.

  We visited this restaurant on a Sunday around 6 pm. It was moderately busy, but we managed to get a table as soon as we walked in. I had high hopes because I’m a big NFL fan, and I thought it would be a fun experience. However, our first disappointment came when we received our menus. They were covered in food particles, which immediately made me realize how dirty everything seemed. The bathroom was equally gross, and the tables that were cleared would go for 20 minutes or more without being bused. We ordered our food, but we never received refills. The waiter didn’t check on us very often, if at all, except to inform us that our food would be ready in about an hour. When our 6-piece boneless wings finally arrived, they were missing their sauces. The buffalo chicken dip was a bit of a mixed bag. It tasted good, but some of the chips were stale. The biggest disappointment, however, was the overall mess of the restaurant. There were plenty of employees just standing around doing nothing. I won’t be returning to this restaurant anytime soon. I thought I would share my experience maybe management can make a few changes to improve.

  First of all if you get a reservation on open table they won’t honor it. They just say they don’t take reservations even though I got a confirmation from open table. Secondly, we went on Sunday evening and they apparently didn’t have any side salads, fries, tater tots or any potato side. Said they had a big crowd and ran out. Really, college town on a football weekend and you ran out of fries. Thirdly, we sat down at 6 and ordered around 6:10 and finally got our food at 7:30. So an hour and twenty minutes to get burgers and a side of carrots and celery. Fourthly, management needs an overhaul because apparently they let wait staff sit at a table and eat nachos while continuing to wait on tables. Unfortunately we will never go back. The atmosphere could be fun with TVs and games on, but service and the lack of any semblance of management ruined it for us. Hoped they would make it in Athens, but not a this rate

  We were really excited to hear that a Buffalo Wild Wings was opening in Athens, but after our experience tonight we absolutely will not be back. We were sat around 5:45 on a Friday and over half the restaurant was empty. We then sat for 20 minutes without a server. There were many waitresses walking around the restaurant and by our table but no one stopped. We had to flag someone down and then after another 5 minutes someone came to take our order. Our waitress was very nice and great, especially because we were not in her section. After our long wait at our table, we ordered and our food took over an hour to come out. We only ordered wings and fries, and there were only two of us. On top of the abysmally slow service, it was absolutely freezing in the restaurant. To the point that we were both very uncomfortable, which made our long wait even worse. The food was good, but this is a chain restaurant so that feels like a given. Finally, the music was so loud and the strangest variety of music I’ve ever experienced. It was really unenjoyable. I’ve never left a Google review before but our time here was so bad it felt like we had to share. Very disappointed.
