Cheryl and her family went above and beyond to make our wedding day and time at Buffalo Creek perfect. We loved spending time with our families at the Tatonka, Buffalo Bungalow, Red Dog, and Timber Hollow! Beautiful property to stay at, and perfect location to explore the towns around as well. We will be back!

Do you really have bison on the ranch?
Indeed, we do have bison on our property. We are deeply committed to providing an authentic experience with each cabin rental, which includes maintaining a herd of real bison on the premises.
Do all cabins have hot tubs?
All of our cabins are equipped with hot tubs. However, please note that our caboose rentals do not include this amenity.
Are you pet-friendly?
We certainly are pet-friendly. We understand that pets are cherished family members and we're delighted to welcome both you and your furry companions to our cabins.
Do you sell bison meat?
Yes, we offer bison meat for sale at Buffalo Creek Vacations. As part of our commitment to an authentic ranch experience, we provide high-quality bison meat sourced directly from our own ranch. Bison meat is not only flavorful but also nutritious, offering up to 44% of the recommended daily intake of selenium per 100 grams when cooked. Whether you're a guest or just passing through, you can enjoy the health benefits and unique taste of our locally sourced bison meat.
Are you open year-round?
We operate throughout the year. Our cabin rentals provide a comfortable retreat regardless of the season, whether you're seeking a cozy winter escape or a pleasant summer getaway.
How far are you from Asheville, NC?
Our ranch is situated approximately 30 minutes west of Asheville, NC. This convenient location allows our guests to enjoy the serenity of our cabin rentals while still having easy access to Asheville's many attractions.

What do you have & what do we need to pack?
We recommend packing: Ziploc bags, aluminum foil, napkins, cooking oil or spray, coffee and coffee filters, shampoo and body wash, hiking or rain boots, and a lighter with fire starter (newspaper or used toilet paper rolls with dryer lint work well).
We provide salt and pepper, kitchen sponge, limited spices, two rolls of toilet paper, one roll of paper towels, one trash bag per night booked, hand soap for each bathroom sink, and dishwashing detergent for both sink and dishwasher use.
