The automatic ones work well in general but sometimes randomly fail to close one or 2 of the blinds. The installer was very helpful in fine tuning the installation to avoid window handles and framing obstructions so that the blinds work well. Overall good but the app needs some work with reliability. Addendum: after the second visit it was recommended that the hub be moved from the floor to a higher location. The installer provided a long USB cable to support this. Since this was done, the blinds have functioned perfectly.
