Bucks & Jakes Outfitters was founded in 2005 after the acquisition of Ashley’s Outdoor Connection. We founded Bucks & Jakes Outfitters with one simple goal in mind - serving the tri-state's outdoorsmen and women. Locally, as fellow outdoor adventure seekers, we struggled to find the products or service up to the caliber and standards we felt was deserved in our community. Hunting and fishing are a way of life in the tri-state area and no one knows better than our founders and staff of the importance of quality products and service. We try to provide our customers great products at reasonable prices, with an emphasis on superior customer service. At Bucks & Jakes, we offer only the highest quality products from major brands and local vendors. We try to keep in mind the products we offer our customers are more important than the name on the package. Since our inception in 2005, the store has grown nearly 5 times its original size after moving to our new location on highway 62 between Evansville and Boonville. This included adding a 10 lane, 100 ft by 40 ft indoor archery range and walk-in cold storage for our customers to store their query. Being locally owned and operated gives Bucks & Jakes the great privilege and opportunity to give back to the community, supporting groups such as the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP), Archery Camps USA, and Archery Across North America, just to name a few. We currently have 15 employees on staff, including 2 full time archery technicians, 2 part time archery technicians, and 3 firearms specialists. Stop by our store today to see why Bucks & Jakes' customer base spans from Mt. Vernon, Illinois to Louisville, Kentucky, and from Terre Haute, Indiana to Bowling Green, Kentucky. We look forward to seeing you soon to show you why Bucks & Jakes is head and shoulders above our competition. Thank you for visiting and come back soon.

Pretty dang helpful I’d say. I got a second hand bow and needed help with setting it up fast. With deer season fast approaching I have them my budget on certain needs and wants and the younger archery specialist helped me out. Withith two hours and some minor tweaking I was good at 20yds. Two days later and I’m sighted and dialed in at 30,40, and 50yds. These guys helped a lot

After now visiting both stores I will review the Evansville one. Folks were friendly and the store was nice. I do wish the firearms on the wall were either closer to the counter or set up like many Kentucky stores where the customers could more easily see each gun without having to involve an employee, ( long guns not handguns ). It’s a more pleasant experience to look at a firearm with out Constant input from the person selling it. Also the distance from counter mixed with the guns being so close to each other on the rack makes it harder to tell exactly what is there. This store does have a better selection than the Boonville store does. I wil add one note. When dealing with a person that has ordered firearms from this business before you should think about waving the half down part once you know someone will pick it up. I would rather have bought from Bucks and Jakes today but it would have required two trips to the store. One to order and one to pick up. When another shop cuts that down to just one trip even when they are 5-10 dollars more expensive it makes it harder to still buy from this store. Thank you for having two good stores for us in this area.

Was in the store a few weeks back and wondered around the store for 20 minutes trying to find choke tubes , magazines and some ammo . No one offered to help in anyway and when I asked for help finally , they came across as rude and arrogant. Take my money elsewhere
