How do I set up transportation for my non-emergency medical transportation appointment?
You can set up non-emergency Medicaid transportation in several ways:
From your insurance provider, or healthcare facility. Once you are approved and Brooklyn Radio Dispatcher Inc is assigned as your "Preferred Transportation" provider, we'll pick you up. You can also ask your Transportation Manager to assign Brooklyn Radio Dispatcher as your preferred Transportation Provider. We're available on short notice and know the quickest routes to travel.
Who are the Transportation Managers?
Currently, the Department contracts with two Transportation Managers
Medical Answering Services, LLC
All Counties North of NYC – https://www.medanswering.com/– (800) 850–5340 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week)
LogistiCare Solutions, LLC
New York City – http://www.nycmedicaidride.net/ – (877) 564–5911 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week)
How are Transportation Providers determined for Non-Emergency Medicaid Transportation?
Transportation Managers like Medical Answering Services (MAS) or ModivCare assign trips on the following basis within the appropriate mode of transportation:
1) Enrollee’s freedom of choice.
2) Medical provider’s freedom of choice.
3) rotation.
Only three percent of all trips assigned by MAS are assigned by rotation. If you would like Brooklyn Radio Dispatcher as your transportation provider as an MAS enrolle you have the freedom of choice to request us.
