Phenomenal experience at Brio Italian!
From start to finish, everything was top-tier. Our host Coleman truly set the tone — his manners, professionalism, and genuine energy were unmatched. You can tell he’s got an old soul and really cares about making people feel welcome. That kind of hospitality is rare these days, and it made the whole night feel special.
Now let’s talk about the food — those pork chops and lamb chops were out of this world! Perfectly seasoned, tender, and cooked to perfection. The pork chops were juicy with just the right char, and the lamb chops melted in my mouth. Every bite was full of flavor — you could tell the chef took pride in the details. The sides complemented everything beautifully, and the presentation was spot on.
Between Coleman’s exceptional service and the food being that good, Brio absolutely earned all five stars from me. I’ll definitely be back — and I’m bringing friends next time!

Very nice place for get together. Ambiance is very nice but don't forget to bring your wallet. Service was alright. Waiter doesn't come to check to fillup water or see if we need anything else until we get his attention with a hand slightly raised. I personally don't feel comfortable to do that. Otherwise, food choices are excellent. Nice place to bring a girl or a boy to impress.

We stopped in BRIO for the first time for dinner last weekend. The service was good, but the food and drinks were so disappointing. First, I ordered a passionfruit drink, and I got a pineapple drink instead. Turns out it was a mix-up at the bar, they replaced the drink, and let us keep the first one. Both drinks were disappointing, though, especially for the hefty price. The worst part was the food, though. We ordered the $28 steak salad and the $21 bruschetta sampler to split. We don't mind paying more for great food, but if we order a $28 salad, we expect it to be amazing. The salad was premade and had been sitting in a refrigerator for at least hours but possibly overnight. You know how a salad tastes after you had leftovers and put them in the fridge thinking it might still be salvable the next day, but then you try it, and it's just gross. The lettuce is soggy and no longer fresh. Yep, that's how the $28 steak salad came. The waitress said, "They are just finishing up the steak for the salad, and then it'll be right out." I realized, afterwards, it was because the salads are made well in advance and stored in the refrigerator (it seems with dressing already on it, or the lettuce had just been in there a really long time), and they just cook whatever meat someone orders them with and throws it on top. The salad wasn't even worth $15 the way it came, let alone $28. If I hadn't already complained about getting the wrong drink, I would've sent the salad back. I should've actually. It was awful. The bruschetta sampler was just okay. Two of the three were good. The 3rd tasted like it just had spaghetti sauce on it with some cheese. Even our 17-year old who loves regular spaghetti sauce commented on it and didn't finish it. Our daughter got the fettucine alfredo with chicken and spinach. It was decent. Overall, if we had just gotten the wrong drink, and it was disappointing, we still would've considered coming back if the food was good. The food was so disappointing, though. We've gone to local taverns and gotten $10 salads that were better and fresher than this one, and it's clear that's always how they make them. Don't waste your money coming to BRIO. There are SO many great options in St. Louis. Even Flower Child's food next door is 10X's better than BRIOs....fresh and good!

Really wanted to have dinner outside last night to enjoy the cool weather and chose Brio’s patio. I can’t begin to rave about our experience. Our server Lindsay was very attentive. Felt like we never had to wait for anything, drinks stayed full. Lindsay recommended the ravioli. It came out quick, hot, and delicious. Just what I needed, a stress free tasty dinner. The live music was an added bonus! If you go ask for Lindsay, she will definitely take care of you!
The patio is amazing here. It's spacious, versatile in that you can sit high or low or at a couch, and it's beautiful. The Caesar salad is good & the creme brulee is the best I've ever had anywhere. Everyone in my family loves the white peach Palmer drink. The food is generally great. However, I wish Brio would change it's bread to something more Italian. The service is always exceptional. The location is posh, right in the Plaza Frontenac parking lot. Special kudos to our server, Sheri, for excellent service today!
