  We had the grave misfortune of spending the worst time of our existence in this apartment complex. 1. Cockroach: The first day when we entered into the apartment to leave some of the stuffs before fully moving in, there were 30+ cockroaches in all the rooms and the bathrooms. We took photos and showed it to the leasing office. They said they will bug spray before we move in. On the day of move in, we found another bunch of cockroaches. Throughout our stay, we constantly experienced this cockroach issues. There were so many cockroaches that they were outside the apartment, near to entry way. And they were of various sizes from small to big. 2. Dirty Water: Several days of the week of every month, the tap water will have a dark yellow/brown color. It was so horrible that we often could not take shower. 3. Noise: The biggest issue we had was constant noise from upstairs. It was so horrible that we could not sleep properly the entire 9 months we had to stay there. Leasing office just did not care, neither the management company. On weekend we had to be outside so that we can feel normal. Due to constant lack of sleep, we had trouble driving to work and coming back. 4. Car breaking: During our stay, there was a car break in on a Honda accord. All 4 wheels were taken. 5. Safety: One morning, we saw a stranger sleeping on the patio couch we had on the patio. 6. Appliances: Each month, the dishwasher stopped working. 7. Mold: Beside the cockroaches, there were moldy environment in the apartment. Our cat got sick after we moved in and he is still sick from living in this apartment. 8. Leasing office: The 2 people we had the misfortune to deal with majority of the times lied to us constantly. There is a 'human' named John in the leasing office, who constantly kept lying to us. Every time they will inform about maintenance crew coming into the apartment, I called leasing office and had the misfortune to speaking with John. Every time he lied that he will arrange to send the crew member when we are home, and the crew never showed up on time because John never communicated it to them. We got delayed to work several times because of this and they entered the apartment anyhow. When we reached out to leasing office about the constant noise, there was another "human" named Pearl who told us she will come and check how much noise is there. And she never showed up. Two people quit jobs in leasing office in 8 months when we were staying there. 9. Management company: We tried reaching out to the management company and they just never picked up the phone. We finally decided to leave the apartment because we could not take it anymore. This is modern age fraud and extortion. The horror of living in this apartment complex still terrorises us. God will punish these people for taking our hard earned money and providing us with such a tormented experience. If you don't believe in God, believe in Karma. What goes around, comes around. We will never forgive John, Pearl, Brighton Village and Polinger company for the horrible experience you caused us and the unacceptable behavior you demonstrated while taking money from us.

  Brighton Village Apartments in Gaithersburg consistently delivers on key aspects that matter most: a convenient, central location, bright and spacious living spaces, modern amenities, and responsive, friendly staff — especially standout individuals like Heynel and John who did a great job with our leasing process of the apartment. They shared more detailed information and answer to our queries. While no place is entirely perfect (and a few residents have noted isolated issues), the overwhelming sentiment is one of satisfaction, comfort, and value. If you're looking for a community that feels welcoming and well-maintained, Brighton Village is a wonderful choice. I like Brighton Village Apartments !

  We lived in brighton for over10 years. 3.5 years in 2 bed single bath and 7.5 yesrs in 2 bed 2 bath. When we moved eventually in Oct, 2024. we were not expecting any of our deposit back but did not expect that we have to pay more. All of a sudden in January 2025 we got a call and email from the collection agency saying that we have due that we didnt pay. When i contacted brighton named Lauren and looks like she has been sending emails to an incorrect email address. Are you kidding me? You have a valid email addresses on file and you couldnt even do 1 thing properly to make sure you are sending it.to the right people? When i asked for break up of charges and why we were asked to pay.more she sent me some of the moving out pictures with few pencil drawings here and there magnifying the area. I responded back (with her boss Pearl in the cc) immediately with a move out video that we took with a bare min wear and tear nothing significant after loving there almost for 8 years. No response from her since January 2025. All of a sudden we are getting emails again from the collection agency to pay the dues. Immediately i emailed back to her and her boss last week about why they are not responding to me and it has been 8 months. It has been a week and yet no response. This is the worst kind of support for the tenents that lived there for over a decade. Do you guys not care anything once we move out?

  “Roaches everywhere like we forgot to take the trash out” -Future *except we, in fact, did not forget to do so* Edit: the roaches have grown and are now in the bedroom!! Please do not live here. There were cockroaches in here even on our move in day. Countless rounds of “pest control” but no resolution. I regret, with all my heart, signing a lease with Brighton village. IT SHOULD BE THEIR JOB TO ENSURE RESIDENTS ARE NOT LIVING AMONGST VERMIN!!!!!! Homeless people sleeping in front of apartment doors. I fear for the safety of my wife who leaves for work at 3-4am every morning. Not a safe area. Unfriendly community
