President Brigham Young lived in this home in St. George, Utah, during the winter months from 1870 to 1877. The adjacent office was built to facilitate the work of preparing the sealing and endowment temple ordinances for the dead, conducted for the first time in the St. George Utah Temple. The home and adjacent office have been restored and furnished to reflect their 1870s appearance. Tours tell about Brigham Young’s family life in St. George and about his role in directing the settlement of southern Utah, including the construction of the St. George Utah Temple.
Historical landmark guided by free tours. Interesting to see how radically different houses were set up 150 years ago compared to today. Some original pieces and some time period pieces. Really interesting to see original window panes and how they waver overtime.

The history is rich and I would definitely recommend this to everyone, regardless of faith. This is a rare look into a time that is long gone and any remaining relics are quickly fading. This is a nice break during your travel or stay.

For those who love learning about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, this is a fun stop. Learning about Brigham Young and the early beginnings of St. George is worth the stop.
