I stopped in for a Giovanni sandwich recently and it was excellent, fresh, hot, and is one of the best things on the menu. What really stood out, though, was the service. Destiny was the kind of server that makes you want to come back: welcoming, friendly, and attentive in a way that gives the place real character. Brickside has always been a favorite of mine, and it’s employees like her that make it feel more than just another bar.

This place will legitimately confirm every negative stereotype of WV. If you find that entertaining, stop in, the food ain't half bad. If you are tired and traveling on a road trip and want a decent meal from a sober staff... Might want to not make the same mistake I did.

¡¡Highly don't recommend this place for late night travelers!! Stopped in on Sunday for a late dinner as we were traveling home from visiting family. We sat in the outdoor patio area because we had a dog with us. It was about 8:50 pm when we sat down. We were told someone will be right with us. Our server appeared after 10-ish minutes. Took our drink order. After about 10-15 ish minutes she brought us our drinks and took our food order. Our food was brought out in about 10 minute intervals. The food was okay at best, knowing that the cooks were rushing it. Granted that the place closes at 10pm, the service was horrible. Instead of being polite and letting us know that the kitchen closed early, they proceeded to serve us. We would've understood that the jitchen closed early and left, instead of staying, considering both of us have worked in the restaurant industry. The menus were sticky, and half the staff was under the influence. I've been a server before, especially in small towns, and this kind of restaurant behavior was unacceptable. If it wasn't for the fact that we had already ordered, we would have walked out. The music was turned down at one point and then some one who looked to be a staff member off duty blasted the music on the patio which terrified my dog, and made it miserable.
