For such an expensive place the food was terrible the breakfast spot is wickedly overpriced and the food was overcooked got an order of bacon it was one strip cut in half and burnt home fries was three small potatoes the size of golf balls cut in half. Everything other than the food was 5 star.

NAM-MYO-HO-RENGE-KYO Nam comes from the Sanskrit word namas, which was translated in Chinese and Japanese as meaning “to dedicate one’s life.” “Dedication,”when dedicated to this principle, our lives become based on wisdom that perceives that truth and functions in response to any changing circumstance. Myo can be translated as mystic or wonderful, and ho means law. This law is called mystic because it is difficult to comprehend. What exactly is it that is difficult to comprehend? It is the wonder of ordinary people, beset by delusion and suffering, awakening to the fundamental law in their own lives, bringing forth wisdom and compassion and realizing that they are inherently Buddhas able to solve their own problems and those of others. The Mystic Law transforms the life of anyone—even the unhappiest person, at any time and in any circumstances—into a life of supreme happiness.
Renge, meaning lotus blossom, is a metaphor that offers further insight into the qualities of this Mystic Law. The lotus flower is pure and fragrant, unsullied by the muddy water in which it grows. Similarly, the beauty and dignity of our humanity is brought forth amidst the sufferings of daily reality.

This is the first time that I got an hotel overbooking they rooms. I just reserved a king size bed with Harbor view one week before my dates, and when I did the check in they said they don’t have more rooms face to the harbor with the king size. So, they gave us a horrible wheelchair room.

I’ve read the rave reviews of the hotel and agree with all of them. The service, location and decor are all terrific. The one huge blot on the hotel are the shower shampoos and soaps in pump containers affixed to the wall. I was shocked when I saw them. I’m used to this in a Holiday Inn or Days Inn, but in a five star hotel it’s like a beautiful woman with a huge wart on her nose. How much do you save with this? Please raise your rates by $5-10 and get rid of the pump containers. You’ve got Frette linens in the dining room, for Josh sakes. What are you thinking?

Note to Chase Edit Customers and Amex FHR/THC.
Our reservation was through the Chase Edit collection and it included the benefit of early check-in and upgrade (if available).
Unfortunately, my room was not even ready 1.45 hours past the standard check-in time of 3:00 PM. This delay was very frustrating and caused us to be late for our dinner plans, which created unnecessary stress at the start of our trip.
While I understand that an upgrade is not always possible and is based on availability, I find it unacceptable that the room was not ready at the scheduled check-in time, especially considering the premium nature of the reservation.
On a positive note, the room was very clean, and the staff were all very friendly and professional. The hotel's location is also excellent—quiet and convenient. However, due to the issues with check-in, I would be hesitant to book a future stay here specially from premium platform.
