I bought my Lennox furnace and AC unit 5 years ago and every summer the AC doesn't work due to a faulty coil and the Sensi thermostat doesn't shut off. I have called them numerous times and asked to speak to a manager or supervisor as the days I have to book off every year is excessive and my hydro bill has tripled. I have not once received a phone call back. When they finally showed up to replace the coil they service guy was oppositional (I have a video of this) and he didn't have any tools in his hand. I asked a simple question "where will you be starting, inside or outside?" I have dogs and wanted to know where to put them. No one has ever had a problem with this question before. He refused to answer the question and walked away. When I called to complain they said they are revoking their 10 year parts and labour warranty. Avoid this company at all costs and yes, their 5 star reviews are fake as per other reviewers
Have used Boonstra for 14 years and have always had great service. Now we need a new Furnace and A/C. Marcus was excellent. He was very open and transparent. Answered all of our questions. Far better than the rep we had 14 years ago. Thank you, Marcus.
Ripped me off, overcharged me for basic repair. I wasn't around so I had the repair done remotely. They tried to take advantage of that. Other companies quoted half of what they charged me. I called in 3 different times to speak to a manager about the charges. No one called me back yet. Service is terrible as well.
Excellent start to my engagement with Boonstra. We needed to assess a concern to see if it was deeper than expected, and they sent Jimmy L. Jimmy was excellent - he took his time, was thorough with his inspection, provided great service and care with the questions we had for him.
In the form to request services, I indicated that I was interested in the maintenance plan. There was a bit of a hiccup at the point of sale with Jimmy. Bonnie from the office called me after I followed up through the form three days later, and similar to the care provided by Jimmy, Bonnie was excellent navigating through the challenge, helping to resolve my issue. If most staff at Boonstra are like the two folks I had the pleasure of engaging with, I’m looking forward to working together with Boonstra through the future.
Jimmy L was great! Timely arrival right at 8am as requested, for an emergency repair. Jimmy was knowledgable and able to communicate the issue to us the clients. Knew exactly what to do as soon as he saw the problem. Very polite and honest man. Thanks Jimmy for helping us out.. we can only hope moving forward that he would be the guy coming out to service us next time we need any work or repairs done.
