  You only need one thing if you're gonna venture into Book Nook...Time. You might go in with a general idea of what you're looking for, but you always end up finding that something you didn't know you needed. So have money cause there's a lot of something to be found. Books (duh), movies (it's on the sign), music (so is this), comics (more than some comic shops), toys (surprisingly decent selection), and games (weakest offering, but still present). There's just so much cool STUFF! ...Okay I lied. You might need one more thing...hand sanitizer. No shade whatsoever, that just comes with the territory. That ancient residue old piles of stuff build up over the years will stick to you like wet clothes. But please, don't let that deter you. This is a genuinely great place with engaging staff ready to help and answer your questions as you wander the labyrinth of shelves. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to wash my hoodie cause something from 1973 decided to come back home with me.

  An Atlanta book lovers institution. Found a cache of British murder mysteries that are really hard to get in the US and a Springsteen bootleg. There's lot of joy to be found perusing their eclectic selections.

  Impeccable and incredible! There’s so many books and they range in different prices, depending on if it’s paperback, hardcover or a bigger size. There’s 3 rooms stocked full of books and you can even browse CDs, LPs, movies and graphic novels. Genuinely could have spent hours here.

  I hadn’t been to Book Nook in years until my recent visit. And I was pleasantly surprised that it was just as charming and great as I’d remembered. I stopped in with a kid and we both enjoyed our time and found some things we needed. The staff was super helpful and kind.

  Book Nook is legendary. From its oldest days of yore back on Buford Highway in the 80s to a few moves and locations since - the brand - has truly lived up to its name. It is very much a nook of books. A haven to buy, sell, or trade. Where you can go full geek with fellow customers and staff alike. It’s a cozy bookstore with every type of literature as you can imagine (and especially what you cannot). My dad is a regular and has been coming there since back in the day. He would take us as kids and he would get all his comics by the bagful for us to devour in the backseat of his car. DC, Marvel, Darkhorse, MAD Magazine, Starlog, Fangoria, Cinefantastique, Simpsons, Disney, manga, any comic genre/subgenre/graphic novel … They’ll have it. If they don’t, they can order it for you. They have a Comic Con’s collection of comics, movies, games and collectibles that would make Stan Lee proud, Chris Hardwick drool and blow Kevin Smith’s nerdy frickin’ mind! (Maybe not in quantity but in quality) To this day, the staff is full of incredible human beings, as well as second/third generation staff members too. When in town, I always go with my my own offspring. Our family had a “paired” Book Nook and Original Pancake House Experience for decades. While the OPH has unfortunately closed down (although they really should open a new location nearby!), Book Nook is forever up and running. It’s an Atlanta treasure.
