- DLDain LFeb 28, 20191.0The staff here are friendly enough....but like...what an absolutely dreadful concept for a brick and mortar retail store. Seriously. I mean I guess I can somewhat see it's validity if you want to see how stuff would fit you....but after you know your size? Like ... a place like this has no real purpose. I suppose folks like a real inconvenient way of shopping online, where they have to go somewhere physical to pick it up/order it? What kind of madness is that? I guess if you're terribly self important and feel like having someone place an order for you, as opposed to say, sitting at home and placing an order directly yourself, and you think there is some pomp and circumstance involved with such and obtuse process...okay, sure! Knock yourself out! But for the rest of the populace who loves bonobos' wonderful brand of unique? Nope. DOA. This is a physical storefront that is only a preview. You cannot buy anything PHYSICAL at this PHYSICAL location. Oh!! And the brilliant reason for this, that came from the mouths of the staff directly? 'We would need a whole dept store to showcase everything we have, every print and inseam size'. Uh....of course Capt Obvious; that l-i-t-e-r-a-l-l-y goes for every retail vendor ever. You really think Banana republic or the gap has ALL of the clothes they offer at their physical locations? Of course not! It's a selection. I get the 'online boutique' approach they are going for, but even other boutiques like Channel, Burrberry etc still have stores that will let you walk out with actual merchandise. Oh and Bonobos corporate: I have no doubts this is the line you train your employees to tell people, the problem is....other stores exist, who could claim the same exact thing, yet still let people leave with actual things. It boggles the mind. Some slogans y'all should consider: 'Bonobos: we make it harder' 'Bonobos: how unsatisfied do you want to be?' 'Bonobos: Jim, does it get better than this?' 'Bonobos: online, but in person, and less sensical' Ugh. Seriously.
