Had a great time at bondvet wicker park! They handled my cat with care, and informed me of all options to get my cat the care she needs. The doctor was very informative, and took her time educating me on cat health. Will be back for future vet visits!

Soulless, corporatized veterinary care for masochists — I have been a client at this location since adopting our puppy from a local rescue. I was excited to find a reputable brand, with good reviews, in the neighborhood. Our first visit went reasonably well. The vet and technicians were kind. Having access to “free” examinations for the year feels like a nice perk, but it’s quickly apparent that they intend to make up for this cost by charging exorbitant fees for lab work and medications. Hundreds of dollars in unnecessary blood tests, liver tests, anything you can think of to try and separate you from your money. The online scheduling is a nice feature, and a benefit of attending a chain like this; however, calling into the office, for anything, is an exercise in frustration. I have never felt more disrespected by medical staff than I have at Bond Vet; they are argumentative, rude, and have never once acted like they care about my pet or his health. Q: “My dog ate something he shouldn’t have, could I speak to someone about if it’s potentially harmful?” A: No, we won’t help you. Call the poison control center and figure out what you need to do by yourself. — Q: “Can my dog have this medication, which has been prescribed by you before for this issue, and is the first line and most common treatment?” A: No. Despite being an established client, you must come in and pay for needless lab work, then we’ll give you the medication regardless of the test result. — Q: “Can I speak to the veterinarian?” A: No, they don’t want to speak with you. In fact, they’d rather leave a passive aggressive message and have their PR person call you instead — to lie about the care they’re capable of providing. — Avoid this location and chain if you care about your pet — or if you want your veterinary team to care about your pet. Everything I’ve written here is based on my own experience. When reading their corporate response to this review, keep in mind: all they care about is their bottom line.

We took our cat to Bond Vet Wicker Park for her 1-year vaccines. While the clinic itself is beautiful and very clean, the service felt impersonal and cold. We didn’t feel that there was any effort to build a connection with us or with our pet. The experience was efficient, but lacking warmth and care, which is something important to us when trusting someone with our cat.
