Had a wonderful stay, I really enjoyed the facial and manicure. Location is breathtaking, the service from front of house to the restaurant staff were brilliant. Nothing was ever too much. Thank you for a wonderful relaxing time.

The location and the grounds plus the pricey restaurants are the only things that makes this resort a 4 star hotel. Our room was dusty, dusty and dusty. The toilet seat cover was ridiculously loose. The bathroom did supply shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Hand soap and lotion but the towels were shredding and falling apart. The carpet had stains as did the furniture. Also there is no table to sit and eat at in the room. Did not like the up front $200 charge for “ in case of damages.” I’ve stayed at 5 star hotels that don’t charge that. If you have the money and are not bringing kids it might offer you a great stay, but for us we will not be returning to this hotel.

Wow I just don't know where to start - everyone was so friendly and helpful - it is truely a dog friendly resort - dinner was off the charts - you have to try the elk dinner when you are there - definitely our go to place when we are in the Charlottesville area -

$500 a night for a pet friendly room — pricey based on the condition of the room. Check in took forever — only 1 attendant at the desk. Pet friendly rooms are in an outdated building — so I walked the entire building — all floors — following the “ice machine and vending” signs. There are NO ICE MACHINES — none!! Dinner at the Mill Room on the patio to accommodate the dog. Service was friendly but very slow. My chicken was undercooked and vegetables (carrots and Brussels sprouts) were very undercooked. They took the chicken off the bill but the experience was disappointing. The grounds are beautiful and a great location when visiting Monticello.
