Grace the manager is an angel! I really hope she knows how much I appreciated her! seriously! Grace is a special kind of person! Thanks again for the service Grace! Will be returning! Food is amazing too! 10/10
Waited 45 minutes for a table at 1pm on a Saturday with literally 28 tables open. Trust me, I counted.
If you like getting your meal one item at a time and completely out of order, this is the place for you. 🙄
My mom got her non-sushi side first—along with my stepdad’s side of rice. Then came the rest of my mom’s order and one of our sushi rolls. A few minutes later, the rest of our rolls arrived… plus the edamame I specifically asked to come out first.
My stepdad ordered a glass of Pinot Noir, but they were out—again. (They were out the last time we came too, which I had conveniently forgotten until that moment.)
We only came back because it was my daughter’s birthday request. The food itself was good, but the service just wasn’t. Our server was polite but didn’t check on us enough and never refilled our drinks. The restaurant was nearly empty, so it’s not like he was busy. To make matters worse, the music was so loud—with heavy bass—that it was hard to even have a normal conversation.
And as if that wasn’t enough, parking was a nightmare. It took us 30 minutes just to find a spot. The 5th & Broadway garage was closed, a stalled car blocked traffic, and we ended up parking all the way past the Ryman. The whole experience was a pain from start to finish.
Good food or not, this was our second disappointing visit—and it’ll be our last.
I went to the Blue Sushi at 5th & Broadway and left extremely disappointed. The host told me it would be a 30-minute wait for a party of one, even though the restaurant wasn’t remotely busy. On top of that, the entire 5th & Broadway food hall was blocked off for a private event, which already limited options.
Waiting half an hour for a single seat in an empty restaurant is unacceptable and feels like poor planning and staffing. Having only one server on is not an excuse for turning away or stalling paying guests. This was frustrating, unprofessional, and a terrible way to treat customers.
WOW - this fabulous restaurant was a STAND OUT Nashville Dining Experience. The sushi was fresh, well presented, and delicious. The cocktails were amazing. The sake selection stellar. My husband and I loved the atmosphere and received excellent service. I really cannot say enough wonderful things about our dining experience - if you are in the Nashville area and love sushi, this place is a MUST try. The location is also perfect so you can enjoy the Nashville nightlife before and after.
I also want to commend the staff for going above and beyond to help reunite me with a sentimental item I left behind - across state lines! They communicated clearly, showed complete integrity, and ultimately created a memorable, feel-good outcome I've been sharing with my family and friends as an example of exemplary service that creates a truly unforgettable experience above and beyond fine dining.
I'll remember and recommend this place for years to come. We look forward to making Blue Sushi Sake Grill a "go-to" during future trips to Nashville. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!
