- DXDadman X5 days ago1.0Our home service entrance was damaged when a tree fell on it in a storm, specifically, there were bare wires in the conduit head that the power utility wanted repaired. I called Shockwave Electric on the recommendation of a good friend, and discovered they are now a Blue Dot company. The estimator quoted the job at $1,104 to repair and bring up to 2017 NEC code. I was told this would be a 4-5 hour job. When the neck tattoo electrician showed up, he replaced three, number 4-gauge wires; ten feet long, the weatherhead on top of the pipe and installed a grounding buss in the space of an hour. I called the company and asked for a detailed invoice as to why I was charged full price on an estimate of $1,104 for an hour's work and $200 of material and I thought the estimate was misrepresented. The representative said it was a "task based" estimate and she would talk to the electrician and estimator about the job and call back. That was four days ago, I have not heard anything from them. They have also cashed my check. I will not recommend Blue Dot to family or friends, an ex-wife, or anyone else in the future.

However, the deciding factor was the BlueDot’s guarantee where the other company offered no guarantee. Thanks to Michael and BlueDot, our home will be warm this winter.

She answered the many questions we had both during the home visit and afterwards via text. Julie and Gracyn were both very prompt in responding to text messages. Skyler and Brandon arrived on time, were very professional, and worked straight through the day (no breaks or lunch) to remove the old system and install our new equipment. They also helped us to get set up on the app and answered questions we had. Very pleased with the service all the way around. The new system is so quiet we don't even know when it is running!! A big thank you to everyone!
