Excellent food, great menu that balances the classics with interesting dishes. The service, however, was offensively slow. Appetizers came out within a few minutes, followed by an hour+ wait for our mains. People that didn’t order appetizers were starving. We didn’t flag the waiters because we were all talking as a group, but it was an issue. Same followed with checking on refilling drinks - it happened, but not with the frequency/attentiveness we’d like for a restaurant of this caliber (it’s absolutely gorgeous) This was capped off with annoyance over the check…we were a group of 12, and they have a “5 credit card max” policy for splits. The issue is that we didn’t understand this, and after they collected 5 cc’s they went - and then billing chaos followed. 12 doesn’t split by 5 nicely, plus the usual bs of people with different things ordered. They should either have taken separate checks (in 2025 there’s a ton of solutions for this), or been really clear about the splits. We could have figured out 3 or 4 ccs to break things up cleanly, or discussed among ourselves, etc. Summary: gorgeous space. Great food. Annoying service…for us at least. I’d actually come back for date night, I imagine it would be a better experience for two, but this review is about how my evening went.

I took my sister here for her birthday, and when I say this place blew our minds. From the service to the food to the atmosphere to the ambience everything was up to par and more. The food was out of this world and I don’t even have the words to describe it. The steak was cooked to perfection as well as the sauce being an excellent combination to it. Our waitress made sure to always check in on us and never had us waiting or feeling like we had to ask her for something she always knew. The manager for the night even came up to speak to our table and that was something that really meant a lot. If you’re debating on coming here then I should stop your search right here and tell you this is the spot. Great view , great service, great food.

Hey guys, how are you? I feel very tickled about how this establishment treated me. I was there with my buddies and both my dads. The way that They treated me was completely unbeaten low to the level of love and care that I needed in my life. I was at the bar and they told me to leave everywhere I was going. It was like I was playing cat and mouse. We were spending money it was more so I go to one end I spend money they come looking for me. I go around the other side. I spend money they come looking for me. I jumped behind the bar. They come looking for me. They didn’t allow me in the kitchen to see what was going on back there and I just feel really mistreated

My beautiful sister and I went here to dine for my 29th birthday. Words cannot describe how elegant and gorgeous this place was. We were greeted from the doormen and seated exceptionally fast for our reservation even though we were a tad bit late. Our Amazing host for the night by the name of “ Trevor “ was phenomenal ! Not only did he make sure drinks were promptly served, he also made sure our order was token right away being that we already studied the menu and knew what we wanted. The food was delicious exceeding our expectations, the flavors was very rich and it did not disappoint. Trevor made sure our glasses stayed full and he made us feel welcomed throughout the whole dinning experience. Towards the end of our dinner I was surprised by our outstanding host with a birthday treat which made me very emotional ! That he even went out his way to acknowledge my birthday multiple times. With all of this being said this was the best birthday dinner of my entire life and my beautiful sister and I will study the menu more and return ! And request Trevor once more! I also have to give a big shout out to the other workers they all were professional and working so hard ! Cleaning off tables ! Refilling glasses and very professional. 100000/10 compliments to the chef as well your hard work do not go unnoticed.

The food at Blu on the Hudson may be good, but the service is an absolute disaster. Every time I come here, I'm always being seated 30+ minutes passed my reservation time. This particular night our reservation was set for 6:45PM and we did not get seated until a bit shy of 8PM. After waiting an entire hour for our reservation, we were thrown into chaos at check-in. When the reservation was initially made (2 weeks prior) we requested a booth, but they tried to seat us in a completely different area, which prompted us to return back to the hostess desk and have the situation rectified. While patiently waiting for the error to be fixed, a female manager told us to stay where we were, while the security guard, --Danny, a sassy 6'4" giant--kept demanding that we move. Mixed signals, no organization, and somehow it was our fault that the check in line got long. Instead of managing the situation professionally, Danny and Andrew C blamed us for the long line (caused by their own staff's lack of direction), then Danny decided it was appropriate to put his massive hands in my face and tell us he's cancelling the reservation. Let me be clear: a towering 6'4 man putting his hands in a woman's face is beyond unprofessional--it's aggressive, unnecessary, and flat-out disgusting. As an African American woman we already experience daily micro-aggressions but this really took the cake. I guarantee if we weren't African American women this interaction would have went completely different. Additionally, Common sense would tell you to have a member of staff direct the incoming patrons but that sense was nowhere to be found. The fact his disgusting behavior is tolerated at an establishment that wants to be taken seriously is mind-blowing. The Director of Operations Andrew was useless. Rather than stepping in with a real solution, he was unable to use his words and ran away to finalize cancelling our reservation showing zero leadership or customer care. The only saving grace is that once we finally did sit down, the rest of the staff managed to give us good service for the remainder of the evening. But impressions matter--and thanks to Danny the Diva and Andrew C, this one was unforgettable for all the wrong reasons. We never received an apology the entire night from Danny but he did manage to tell us sarcastically "Have a goodnight" on our way out. What I don't need to deal with on a night out, is a flamboyant micro aggressive grown man who tries to intimidate women. In the best interest of myself and this establishment, I will never return.
