Went on a bike ride and stopped in for a light lunch. The oysters were tiny, flavorless, and expensive. Absolutely no salinity in them. The clams were over cooked little erasers. Service was excellent, so there were no issues there.
Very Disappointing Experience
We wanted to try somewhere new and had heard good things about Blu Fish, but the only thing worse than the food was the service. To start, our server, Dylan, didn’t bring enough waters for the table and never came back with refills until after we had already finished our appetizer, which we ordered as soon as we got our first drinks. Even after clearly seeing that not everyone had water, we had to ask him to bring more as he was walking away.
I'm not sure where he was since we wasnt at the tables around us, but he took forever to return and take our order. We didn’t even get our salads until about an hour after we arrived, not because the kitchen was slow, but because Dylan simply took that long to take our order. I worked in the service industry for 8 years, so I understand what it’s like to be busy — this wasn’t that.
When our food finally arrived, it was terrible. I ordered the lobster roll, and it was honestly one of the worst things I’ve ever eaten at a restaurant. My husband’s grouper was mediocre at best. Even the kids’ meals were disappointing. The shrimp linguine was completely bland, and the fish and chips had undercooked batter.
The only things worth eating were the calamari, fries, and mashed potatoes, which were actually very good, but unfortunately, that’s not enough to make up for everything else.
At this point, I assume Dylan already knew how bad the food was, since he never came by to ask how everything tasted
Overall, a very disappointing experience from start to finish. We won’t be returning.
A group of six friends were in Bentonville for a weekend of bicycle riding. We made a reservation at the Blu Fish House and we all agreed we will be back. Great food and drinks

Sushi in Arkansas?! But of course! Off menu Chef’s selection sushi roll was awesome. So fresh and delicious. Crab cakes offered two ways, fried or baked. Had one of each. More crab than filler just like my Mom made. Perfect. Vibe is laid back Big Easy coastal. What a treat.

First and foremost, great town, wonderful people. Service was attentive, friendly and timely, however the kitchen was not in top form. Sadly I was reminded why I rarely order seafood served at a location more than 20 miles from the source. The term "fresh" is relative. Even if it is flown in everyday it is still two days old at best. The sushi looked great. Should have gone with that. I mistakenly ordered fried oysters. They were cooked to the consistency and texture of 20 year old concrete. Zero flavor (if you discount the touch of burn from the overused fry oil). The corn meal dredge is a good idea, but it was way too course of a grind hence the old concrete texture. Finely ground Masa is a better option and please only flash fry those delightful delicacies (30 seconds max).
