The best of the best! I did first archery elk with Black otter and i couldn't ask for anything more. The camp was great, Nika's cooking is incredible, Gary the owner is very knowledgable and and knows every inch of those mountains, and lastly my guide Brent worked super hard for me every day. He got me into elk almost every day and got me within range multiple times, he really catered to the spot and stalk hunting that i like to do. i cant wait to hunt with them again!

Thank you Nikka and Gary for an adventure of a life time! After working with us for a year and a half, our summer pack trip was perfect! The amazing Scenery, outstanding horses and mules, delicious meals and fly fishing in the beautiful streams and lake were just a few of the many things that made this adventure so perfect! I am still amazed at the organization and skills that Black Otter implemented to make this trip everything we had hoped for! Hope to do this again soon! Thank you Kaylynn and Tanner Too!

I have had very little experience riding a horse but somehow made it 16 miles to camp! This trip was unforgettable! Gary and Nika know what they are doing! If you get the chance to do this, don’t chicken out! You will love it!

Expert guides, unforgettable landscapes, a long tradition of outfitting in Montana: Black Otter is a treasure. If you love wildflowers and plants, going on a summer trip with the Black Otter team to see the mountains in bloom is a special treat. Columbines, sunflowers, and bluebells as far as the eyes can see!
