Restaurant hostess and Management were very inflexible when we arrived later than our scheduled time. It was a birthday dinner and embarrassingly enough we had to leave not because they were no tables, but they were just unwilling to accommodate them.

We had the pleasure of eating here for my birthday weekend. The food is absolutely amazing! We both had oxtail with white rice. The waitress, Nyesha was superb! Customer service is on point! Definitely recommend you dining in at Bird Pepper.

Went on a date for dinner Saturday night , the environment ambiance was pretty nice and welcoming . I ordered basically pasta with salmon and the food was ok not too bad , but the portion of pasta was way too much and the salmon wasn’t seasoned but overall I made the best of it. As far as our waiter he wasn’t attentive and I had to repeatedly remind him of things we wanted. The seating was ok I believe they need bigger tables for the food and drinks it was barely space for both to be on the table. I would maybe go back just try to again and see if I experience different.

Visited this restaurant in October 2025 . Drinks couldn’t taste the liquor drink was more like a fruit punch juice. Mac and Cheese horrible just oily noodles with cheese barely melted on top. Wings were good. Wouldn’t go back service subpar tip is included so places like that usually don’t care to service when their top is guaranteed. Ambiance is cute inside

I stopped by a restaurant bar in my neighborhood (Fort Greene - Brooklyn) that I’d been meaning to try for a while. It happened to be happy hour, so I was excited to sample a few items and get a feel for the place. I was greeted by Dinero, the bartender, who was super friendly and shared some great info about the spot, from brunch and evening dining to karaoke on Tuesdays. My happy hour meal arrived: wings and fries. The food was just okay (average), but the frosé was excellent, refreshing and flavorful. I figured I’d return for a full dining experience and give the place a more thorough try before forming an opinion. Unfortunately, during my visit, I was caught off guard when a cockroach appeared running near my plate. I jumped up and quickly grabbed my bag( making sure none crawled into my bag) definitely not what I expected while dining. What made the situation worse was the manager’s reaction. Instead of addressing the issue or offering an apology, she seemed more interested in confirming whether it really was a cockroach, which one of the bartenders eventually killed, and commenting on the size of it, rather than acknowledging the impact on my experience. That’s the reason I’m writing this review. Cleanliness and customer care are everything in hospitality, and the way a situation is handled matters just as much as the food or drinks. I was genuinely hoping for a great neighborhood spot to support, and while the energy and staff (especially Dinero) were welcoming, I’m not sure I’ll be returning.
